How would you build in shade for fans from the north superstructure of south-facing ballpark?

Easy. Move it to the southern hemisphere.

:icon_roll: Is this a joke? I am not sure sometimes when someone is just trying to be funny and when they are serious.
Doesn't matter, what is done is done. Tech dropped the ball and the stadium is what it is.

There was always afternoon shade from home plate down first base. Also the upper seats on the third base side had shade.
The most missed thing with no overhang will be the shelter from drizzling rain.

Which there will be more of when playing on plastic grass.

No, a serious question.

I gave you a serious answer in post #740. Have you ever been to an afternoon/early evening game there?
Re: J.C. Love Field Construction
BTW, the blue seats were a REALLY bad idea by somebody who does not care about baseball tradition. Baseball is more than just a game.

Indeed. Caveat, the vast, vast majority were spent in right field. Student days...
I don’t recall ever “baking in the sun”...or hearing that complaint from anyone before...but baseball season is pretty long. Can get warm towards the end of spring quarter...maybe we shoulda rotated the field 180?
I don’t think Tech dropped the ball, and yes, the stadium is what is. IT IS still under construction.
Re: J.C. Love Field Construction
We are headed for later start dates to the season. At some point in the near future J.C. Love Field will be in use well into June. We aren't the only fanbase that's going to be begging for shade.

For many years I heard it from some of our biggest boosters....how nice it was to have that canopy later in the season.

Oh, of that I have no doubt. Especially as the season and sun moves. Is the current configuration going to be worse?
