According to this article, Holstein planned to "gray shirt" all along.
From the article: "Holstein will take a grayshirt, which means that he will count towards Tech's 2021 recruiting class". Louisiana Tech operates on a quarter system. Students can take classes during four quarter sessions each academic school year.]
"I'll be reporting a quarter late, which will allow me to count towards next year's recruiting class," Holstein said. "The Tech coaches liked my abilities. We had discussed that since the beginning of my recruitment.

It looks like this "gray shirt" thing is going to work out great for Holstein. He gets to skip this whole COVID shit show in 2020 and come to campus ready to play in the spring of 2021.

I can't say that I remember that. But I do recall the gentleman from his Duck Dynasty show.

Not when the "Quaker" was playing. but, when J. Raymon P. and "Hoss " Newman (both end O&D) Bobby "IA" h/b, and on the south endzone was a small set of bleachers for our` Gramblin friends. (1948)

1948? Dern, I'm just a young pup. My first experience watching a Tech home game was in 1976. The Dawgs had opened with a road loss at Ball State and had the home opener vs. McNeese. A group of us who had met at orientation that summer agreed to meet at the game. I had a girl with me, a young lady from Plain Dealing, we found our group of friends standing about halfway down the lower section...right on the south 40, east side. I have been watching Tech games from that general area ever since...except for two years when I had season tix and perched on the west side. I prefer the east side. Anyway, we missed a chippy FG and lost that game 15-13. Fortunately, the Dawgs turned it around, including the epic win in the Snow Bowl over USM 23-22 to finish 6-5.
Seems like yesterday...only 44 years ago!
