At this point, the next announcement should be that the 2014 season will be played at Independence Stadium to accommodate the construction of a completely new football stadium (and associated buildings/fields/infrastructure, etc.), starting with the implosion of Caruthers and Neilsen at the end of the 2013 season.

Unfortunately, this thread has become an exercise in futility! Our only hope is that starting this summer our new President will have the desire to truly do full force efforts to raise money and set a firm timeline to get this thing off the ground.
The next few weeks will be dedicated to the legacy of D.R.. TNS has given him a lot of credit for all he did for athletics.
Good article in TNS about Mrs Guice. She stated how important athletics were to her and the Mr. They were married on a Saturday morning so they'd have time to make it to the the game in the afternoon... They never miss a game. Whether LG has the knowhow to improve athletics I don't know...but I do not doubt he has a commitment to athletics in spades that DR always lacked.

He understands that academics and athletics go hand in hand and has told me so.
