Most wealthy Americans have EARNED everything they have. You should stop looking for a way to vilify people that are more successful than yourself. It isn’t healthy to let envy get the best of you.
I didn’t get what I said from the mainstream media. I got it from books and life experience.
I didn’t say that wealthy people didn’t work hard, but the money I have made off my capital took a lot less effort and work that the money I have made from my labor. Capitalism rewards risk taking above effort. I am not saying there is necessarily anything wrong with that, but it is the way it works.

How is it that the Castro brothers got so wealthy in a commie Cuba? The "elites" prop themselves up. And it would be no different here.
Ya know, Goosey, you need to drop the façade. It's tiring and boring. YOU ARE A DYED-IN-THE-WOOL COMMIE! You love the democraps, you love these self-proclaimed socialists...a Libertarian? Hah! I'm more libertarian than you are. YOU LOVE big government! I despise it...as do all true libertarians.
However! within the confines of the Constitution...such as "shall provide for the common defense" I support the Federal government in executing its Constitutional duty. But, NO! the Federal guvmint should NOT be involved in public education, in providing a welfare state, in regulating so much of what private business does, etc... YOU SUPPORT ALL OF THAT and that makes you a commie...not a libertarian.

I don’t love the Democrats.

Oh, so you checked just one off the list. That leaves the rest: self-proclaimed socialists, big guvmint, commies, and the way big guvmint has seized too much of our lives. Obviously, you must love those.
And, I note, you referred to them as "Democrats" rather than the more accurate "democraps." You never post anything even remotely anti-dems, it's always anti-GOP/anti-American. So...sorry...your weak-azz attempt to deflect the truth with this "I don't love the Democrats." is laughable.
Re: Why Must Democrats Tell Lie?
Check my post history - I was very critical of Obama.

The key word in what you said is "risk". An investor puts his hard earned capital at risk whenever he invests it in some way, but it is capitalism itself that gives one the OPPORTUNITY to make or lose money from the investment of one's capital. For most, that means not only working hard, but also maintaining the self discipline takes to accumulate some capital that he can invest in the first place. Most of the socialists clowns that we're seeing on mainstream media want to skip these necessary steps and instead simply steal from successful people. They want to blame capitalism for their failure in life instead of the real reason they're losers, which is their sorry work ethic and total lack of any self discipline whatsoever. This is the point I was originally making before you launched your customary attack on me.

There is no requirement under the laws of capitalism that the capital you put at risk be hard earned. Capitalism doesn’t reward effort per se, it rewards value. The value of labor is decreasing rapidly these days which is why capitalism is disproportionately rewarding those that contribute capital (shareholders) to those that contribute labor.

Not at all true, but it sounds good to those who believe in certain forms of socialism like exporting jobs. Almost ALL democrats and RINOs agree with you. Even many Union members and Jewish Americans agree. The crazy thing is those who claim to be treated unfairly are the ones being greedy.

How else do you explain the economic growth rate being greater than the wage growth rate since the 1970s?

Like most socialist liberals, you use stats for convenience rather than applying logic to them. Your logic says the minimum wage for waiting tables should be the same as the wage for an apprentice.

I am not talking about minimum wage, I am talking about the average of all wages.
Re: Why Must Democrats Tell Lie?
Speaking of wages... wages have risen 3.2% the past 12 months. That's good. Remember that in Trump's first year, the first of the tax cut and rollback of regulations, the stock market and the economy exploded but wages lagged behind. I think it was something like 1.7% wage increase. Well, I posted then that was understandable, if you understand the dynamics of micro-economics and macro-economics...i.e. how things work. But there was also a much simpler explanation: our economy had wallowed under obummer for 8 long years and there was pent up demand for profits! Businesses held off as long as they could expanding the labor aspect of capitalism. It's really, really simple...
Company XYZ had an annual payroll of $1 million. They had struggled to stay alive during the dark years of obummerism, barely maintaining a positive cash flow on, say, $1.5 million gross revenues. Then along comes our savior, the gallant President Trump! and bam, XYZ's revenues jump to $2 million. They held their payroll stagnant for a year raking in real profits for the first time in 8+ years. And who could blame them? But market forces took hold. Now some of their most valuable employees began to see opportunities elsewhere. Companies were hiring again, and to keep as many as they could, XYZ had to compete for their services yielding wage increases.
Thank you President Trump!
Re: Why Must Democrats Tell Lie?
In the bigger picture, re: what Goosey posted. Average wages have not kept pace with other economic metrics. For instance, going back to 1979 productivity has risen 231% and wages have risen 108%. Why? ROBOTS! Automation has supplanted the need for human labor and these machines, which never get sick or take vacations to Disney, have greatly improved productivity. Now it's a lot of button-pushing, monitoring computer screens, and a lot less actual SKILLS.
Another reason wages in the US have lagged behind other economic factors is the ever-changing global landscape re: labor. Now "cheap" labor can be accessed in China and India and elsewhere, and American workers are measured against this new competition. The reason so much American industry fled to these regions of cheap labor in the first place was the ever-increasing pressure on wages here.
So, yes, it is true, wages have lagged behind other economic factors.
So?
Re: Why Must Democrats Tell Lie?
Exactly, Capital is more valuable than labor, on average.
