But, a lot of people on bb&b must know ol' zippy because they confuse him all the time with that trucker guy's son who used to work alongside you at mitcham's peach orchard on these warm summer days of june and july.
One thing has not deteriorated from my memory, mick. About this week every june you and i were paddling for those perch at coach huey's camp pond during an afternoon respite from our routines at scotty's basketball camp. Gosh, those were the days.

Not trying to nit-pick, but the Aviation building is actually named after his father Paul Davison. In Louisiana a building can not be named after someone unless they are deceased.

This is true.
We got a letter in the mail when we tried to name my mom's backyard storage shed after Ike Turner back in 2006.
Re: First Look at GATAVision

I believe it is also named after their father. Someone confirm that.

I was not aware that the person had to be deceased. I also never thought about which Davison it was named after just ASSumed it was the living one. Learn something new every day.
Re: First Look at GATAVision
Eddie Robinson Stadium was named that while he was still living. Maybe an exception was made.
Re: First Look at GATAVision
I've have also heard that and I do not believe it. What about the Marbury Alumni Center? Mr. Marbury was alive well after it was built.
As in any case, one can always say, "well that was named after his father."

At first it was named Robinson Stadium in honor of the Robinson family (to make it legal). Years later, prior to Coach Eddie's death, it was changed to Eddie Robinson Stadium.
Re: First Look at GATAVision
Wyly tower is named for Charles Wyly sr. I checked.

The tower is (and I assume the fieldhouse also) named for Sam and Charles's father.
Re: First Look at GATAVision
What about the Sam Thomas Assembly Center? I thought the TAC was named after the dad banker, who was Edwin Edwards' friend.

Named for Sam Sr., the Quitman merchant.
