Two comments this afternoon:
1. The items in the last few posts can not be good for you, they taste too good and Beat 22/7 every time they are tried.
2. In the other thread (where as usual, the responses should be in this thread) on 40 times, I was just thinking:
Our own 06, with a scoop on transfers, can beat any of those 40 times! :D
Hey 70: Mail ran yet?
The Alumni News (Louisiana Tech Magazine) is very good. My brick isn't on the cover, even further away than yours. I see what was meant by the "claws" being rather long. Sorta sluthy
Oh yeaaaahooow! That would slow down anybody's 40 time. Who wouldn't trade a few tenths for that?
Ten days since the last post in the Hall of Fame Board. Really cooled off over the last 2 years or so.
Has anyone heard about a new Johnny's opening in Ruston??

Dawgs basketball team just choked!!!:bigcry:
I was checking out at the local Wal-Mart with just a few items and the lady behind me put her things on the belt close to mine. I picked up one of those "dividers" that they keep by the cash register and placed it between our things so they wouldn't get mixed. After the girl had scanned all of my items, she picked up the "divider", looking it all over for the bar code so she could scan it. Not finding the bar code she said to me, "Do you know how much this is?" I said to her "I've changed my mind, I don't think I'll buy that today." She said "OK," and I paid her for the things and left. She had no clue to what had just happened.:)
Did you check your change?
I was worn out (and didn't play fiddle- much less 3 big games in 38 hours). Appleby didn't get a lot of minutes, and Tulsa (a "young" team) was playing their heart out and enjoying it. Really tuff, but It is what it is. Great season and some motivation for next year.

Fun game, 70. I got 14 out of 20.
Not bad for a GenX, I hope.
That was a trip back. 17 out of 20. Lucky strike one was the only one that I didn't even have an educated guess on.
I knew 19 out of twenty and guessed the 20th correctly. I really didn't know the Lone Ranger one but I guessed the silver bullet since I knew that's what he used. Of course we also said LSMFT meant loose strap means floppy titty as a take off on the Lucky Strike commercial.
Now in Shreveport weekday TV came on at 3:00 pm and Howdy Doody was the second show. What was the first?

Freddy the freeloader! I had Gertrude & Heathcliff stuck in my brain for that one and couldn't get past it. I got the second part though.
Red Skelton's Pledge of Allegiance
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kN4t2AY05_E
Red Skelton's mobile home broke down in a small desert town next to the airbase I was stationed at many years ago. Word got around town who was there. Red entertained the whole town in that gas station for several hours while his motor home was being repaired. A true entertainer at heart. By the way, I believe that at the end of the day, he owed nothing for the repairs.
Thanks, WWDog...for putting that video on here. When he said, "not from the leaders to the people", that got my attention. I wonder what Red would say about what our president is doing to us today???
I don't think you or I have to wonder on that!
The. Freddie the Freeloader concept resonates resoundingly in our society today.

Or the Three Mesquiteers? One of the original was John Wayne. We saw all these old '30s B Westerns on Al's Corral. They were just about the right length to fill in between Howdy Doody and the news. Which by the way was only thirty minutes for both National and Local.
