OK, know-it-all, Johnny's did not have muffalettas at their stores until after they bought the Cushino's location. Happy now?:icon_razz:

Didn't know that... Dominique must have used his cut to open one in Shreve. on 60th .....sans the muffs.:D

So far back, I can't remember when Dominic got out. Dominic Cordaro and Sammy Marabella (cousins . . . hence the Italian word "Cushio's".....OmahaDawg has permission to correct me) ran a wonderful restaurant, a favorite of all Tech students of the day.

The muffalettas from Cushino's and Pisa Pizza (around the corner, closer to Keeney Hall) were fantastic.

Anyone want a muffy recipe? I heard that someone who owns a store somewhere has a darn good muffy.:icon_wink:

Next time I'm in Ruston I'm gonna have to try it. I'm ready to dive into their muffs.

Pizza Tech (yes, that one in that used to be in Student Centre), used to make a muffaletta that I'd still to this day compare favorably with something out of Central Grocery...

Sundown's buffalo chicken sandwich and burgers from Rabbs and Dawghouse are my favorite sandwiches in Ruston. Delicious.
