Yep, early 80's they had one on Tiger Bend Road near Airline Drive. It was on the way to our house at Shenandoah.

This isn't about an eating place, but included earlier in this thread were discussions of new businesses/construction around town. To that end, what is going on with the former Goody's location? Construction crews have been working inside the last week or so.

I heard Blue Light is closing soon. Very depressing.

An aside, Ms. Sarah and Ms. Bertha fed me a lot of good groceries and put a lot of clothes on my back when I was at LA Tech..

Tech Drive is the only one. Recently remodeled and some pasta dishes added to the buffet as well.

The Blue Light was run for years by Ms. Fannie Rushing. She died and the cafe closed for several years. Long-time customers convinced her sister and her husband, Mr. & Mrs. David Wright to open it back up. He died this summer so that's probably has something to do with the closing decision.

I just heard today that they plan to reopen at a TBD time and a TBD place. That's sad that Mr. Wright passed away. He and his wife were outstanding people.

Dude, ya'll called me about advertising and I said I was interested but would love to sit down with the 2 of you & "Boss McKenney" to discuss specifics & the show -- someone told me they would call me back when things slowed down a little but I never heard from anyone. Figured I was too small of a fish in a big ole pond! :bigcry:
