Re: If you want a thread to die
IT's (Spring)GAME DAY 70!
Time to assess action instead of crowing over the "PE" of recruiting rankings for a few days.:D

Re: If you want a thread to die
I went to the Spring Game. Looked to me like Higgins has improved. Also looks like we have some receivers who can catch the ball and a good defense!
-
Re: If you want a thread to die
Listened to one interview with Higgins. He was talking the talk, liked what I heard. For a Soph, he is sounding good. I'm encouraged.

Hopefully, he is going to "step it up" this year like Colby Cameron did in 2012.

Did you see the piece where she said she wished her boobs were "clip-on?" She doesn't like 'em. Says they are too big.
Well sweetie, you got no problems if that is all you dislike.

It's a sad state of affairs when I have more faith in you scoring with those two than... well.. our offense scoring enough to win three games let alone 8 games...

Re: If you want a thread to die
I'd be happy with 7 wins and a bowl invite. :)

AMEN!!!! Evidently, he learned from Dooley...not to take over a crappy ass Tennessee team!!!!!
-
Re: If you want a thread to die
No.
He was a smart business man, he wanted certain things in the contract which UT wasn't willing to give him (but gave Tyndall to avoid further embarrassment) -
They did NOT sell him that Tennessee was THE PLACE for Mike White and we WANT MIKE WHITE as our basketball coach
It's that simple

2) Personal signatures - a personal signature will not available to non-HOFB members
3) PM mailbox - personal messages will be limited 24 for non-HOFB members

Re: If you want a thread to die
ObamaCare in brief
Here is the 2500 page Obama Care condensed to 4 sentences.....
As it seems to be working, this is according to plan!
+++++++++++++++++++
In order to insure the uninsured, we first have to un-insure the insured.
Next, we require the newly un-insured to be re-insured.
To re-insure the newly un-insured, they are required to pay extra charges
to be re-insured.
The extra charges are required so that the original insured, who became
un-insured, and then became re-insured, can pay enough extra so that the original
un-insured can be insured, free of charge to them.
Thank you. :rolleyes4:

Well, mine actually went down!
And one of my best friends with kidney problems was able to get insurance for the first time, I guess that's a good thing since his son's mom died after meeting the million dollor cap on her insurance and got cut off her insurance in the hospital.. nice to know someone elses wife might not have to go through what he did in the future now!

Re: If you want a thread to die
From the SI archives 9/11/1972: Note mis-print "Ted Dean."
Pioneer Bowl winner Louisiana Tech (9-2) faces a similar problem. Denny Duron, formerly a reserve flanker, succeeds a long line of All-America quarterbacks. Charles (Quick Six) McDaniel was' a sensation as a freshman halfback and Roger Carr and Eric Johnson are fine pass targets. The defense is headed by Tackle Ted Dean, the school's best ever. Newcomer McNeese State (9-1-1) presents a strong challenge to Louisiana Tech in the Southland Conference.
-
Re: If you want a thread to die
September 18, 1961 SI:
LOUISIANA TECH (Ruston, La.): An 86-yard punt return in the closing minutes brought Tech a 17-14 victory over Southeast Louisiana and a tie for the Gulf States title. This year Coach Joe Aillet, who has kept his Bulldogs in the top 10 of America's small colleges for three years, doubts if any team, even his own, will stop Southeast—but he is ready to try. Two well-balanced units will alternate, but neither is as strong as 1960's first team, which sent three men up to the pros. Quarterback Mickey Slaughter, a fine passer, has lost his five best receivers, but has Tackle Herschel Vinyard, the team's best lineman, Guard Don Tippitt, and a big sophomore center, John Robert Williamson, to protect him while he looks for new receivers.
-
Re: If you want a thread to die
9/27/1965:
For a while Louisiana Tech's Billy Laird had RICE in a tizzy. He completed 16 of 23 passes, and the Owls were finding it hard to get the ball. But they managed to score in the second quarter and again in the last seconds to beat the stubborn Bulldogs 14-0.

SIMPLE TRUTH 1
Lovers help each other undress before sex.
However after sex, they always dress on their own.
Simple Truth: In life, no one helps you once you're screwed.
SIMPLE TRUTH 2
When a lady is pregnant, all her friends touch her stomach and say, "Congrats".
But, none of them touch the man's penis and say, "Good job".
Simple Truth: Some members of a team are never appreciated.
FIVE Other Simple Truths
1. Money cannot buy happiness, but it's more comfortable to cry in a Mercedes than on a bicycle.
2. Forgive your enemy, but remember the a-hole's name.
3. If you help someone when they're in trouble, they will remember you when they're in trouble again.
4. Many people are alive only because it's illegal to kill them.
5. Alcohol does not solve any problems but then neither does milk.
Bonus Truth:
Condoms don't guarantee safe sex. A friend of mine was wearing one when he was shot by the woman's husband.
Any comments about the "Simple Truths" in post # 5392?????

What people do not know or do not realize is: Putin is using the same tactics that Hitler used in 1937 and 1938 when Hitler annexed Austria. Hitler wanted to expand Germany's territory and did so! Putin wants to do the same thing for Russia!

Get Real. I'm talking about the headlines, those intellectually arrogant, over-reaching, better-than-thou hypocrites elected and appointed who have perfected stupidity in practice at the expense of my friends, family, and fellow Americans, making us look like baffoons because WE elected most of them. THEY are assholes ruining our nation and our reputation around the world. The enemy in their book is anyone that disagrees with them, especially citizens who resist their perspective. [Respect is earned, these are closer to earning time in the fed pen.]
Does that clear it up for you?
I am disappointed you had to jump at making something disrespectful out of it. Guess you've been influenced by them, or expect me to respect what "they" have, are, and would continue to do.
God bless the USA, even though we don't deserve an ounce of the abundant grace we have received.
