In my honest opinion, YES

I would rather have a coach with no experience than a proven loser. Do the people in power really want to go through crappy football seasons? We should have fired Skip at the airport.
It takes a big person to admit they made a mistake.
In the words of C.S. Lewis -
"Progress means getting nearer to the place you want to be. And if you have taken a wrong turning, then to go forward does not get you any nearer.
If you are on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; and in that case the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive man."
Sorry La Tech family. USF is happy to be rid of him. I am truly, truly sorry. Skip is just awful. Look at what Malzahn is doing at Auburn with what he was left. Look at what Dykes is doing with a true freshman QB even though their record is wretched. Look at what happened to ECU until McNeil picked up the pieces. Look at what Taggart has had to deal with at USF. USF is one of the youngest teams in the country and playing many of the recruits that Taggart brought in. If they aren't Taggart's kids then they are still Leavitt's kids. Holtz brought nothing to USF and left them with less. I believe that a fan base that refuses to sit for the whole game deserves a similar effort from their players on the field but most importantly by their coaching staff preparing them week in and week out. Call me a troll. Call me all the names you want. However, after this season you cannot call me a liar. When your recruiting class is sub par, and it will be, just know that the storm will continue to rage. He needs to go or you are back to what you have tried so hard to get away from in years past. The final game of the year last year we had a kid try to leave the field and just walk into the tunnel. The coaching staff didn't stop him. The players did. In the spirit of the holidays look to USF's trials and tribulations this year as the ghost of Christmas future for La Tech. All the best. You deserve better. Best $500,000 we ever spent for him to NOT coach.
"We gave up too many deep balls that were uncontested," Holtz said. "They hit a wheel route early on the first drive. They hit another wheel route later. They threw a deep corner route that was uncontested. I can deal with it if they are better than us … but some of it was like they were throwing against air."
Then get a new DC... 'cause that is coaching Skip!
Thanks for your comments of support Green Moose. Most LA Tech fans on this board agree with your assessment that Hotz must go. Yeah, we've got a handful of hardheads on here (e.g., T1, Gunislapp, OldDawg65, etc...) that have their head in the sand, but most of them are just resistant to any kind of change at all. If they had their way, LA Tech would still be playing on the FCS level.
Good luck to USF. Glad to see you guys clawing your way back.
We must take a stand against this. We cannot wait seven years like we did with JB3. Irrespective of his W-L record, JB3's teams were 1,000% more fun to watch...
This guys sucks and he's killing the program. A boycott should be staged. Don't give another dime until T-Mac and LG give Skip the pink slip.
