We are going to pick the only one she can beat. :bomb:
The latest poll shows Cruz is the most vulnerable to the dems. Trump does well

That's hard to believe based on his unfavorables. And it's going to get worse when the media gets after him. And Hillary will not be as polite as the Republican candidates. She's going to challenge his knowledge on the issues in the debates.
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
T1 keep telling yourself Trump is a terrible candidate that wont win the general. Trump is bringing more voters than McCain and Romney combined at this point. Did you notice that more people have voted in the primary for Trump than any previous candidate running including Obama. People are pissed and they want America to revert back to common sense instead political correctness. Yes, Rubio and Cruz would be the more conservative candidates but you can't trust them on immigration.
I will probably vote for Trump but my wife and kids are voting Cruz. So I am down 3 to 1.

Die hard conservative John Huntsman can see himself on the Trump Train!

Moderate or more conservative democrats will not vote for Cruz and don't want to vote for Bernie. If the religious right will not hold their noses and vote for Trump, then they deserve a liberal supreme court among other things.

Cruz is tougher on immigration than Trump. Trump's plan is to deport and let them return and obtain citizenship. Cruz's plan is to deport without the option to return as they have already broken US law and are disqualified to return.

Like Trump's sister? You can't blame this on the Religious right. You'll get a clintonesque power grabber either way.

I think Cruz's plan is unworkable and merely a campaign tactic. That said, so is Trump's and Cruz's position has the benefit of actually being constitutional...that used to be valued by the populace.

He has a plan. It can't be done in 1 day, but over a period of 10 years, it can. Obama has deported over 3 million illegals in 7 years.

That's why she's "the better half"
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
Trump does bring up valid (or semi-valid) issues. But in almost every case, not only is he not the right person to fix those issues, he's actively been part of the problem. For example, its definitely true that the government is too wrapped up in corporatism. It's probably not a good idea to put someone in charge who has used eminent domain for his personal financial gain.
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
Justin Amash, probably the most Libertarian member of congress, recently endorsed Cruz. This is a big step towards getting Libertarians to come out and vote Republican instead of sitting it out. I couldn't vote for McCain or Romney. I'll vote for Cruz, and I'll actually do it enthusiastically. I could even see myself donating to his campaign. No way in hell I'll vote for Trump.
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
How do we know Trump will nominate a conservative for SCOTUS? He wouldn't even know what kind of character/attributes to look for. Are there advisers on this kind of thing? Who would be advising him?

Yes, if you don't vote for the person with the (R) behind their name.
