Are the haters REALLY trying to use the lack of beds as a scare tactic again?

Interesting trend in this one is that COVID-19 patients in ICU have increased quite a bit when actual ICU patients haven't increased as much
+658 for COVID-19 in ICU
+226 for ICU beds
I am curious how many patients in ICU were moved back to non-ICU rooms to make room for COVID-19 patients.

And also what other medical procedures are being titrated down to decrease bed/ICU utilization.
Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
Does anyone know if Louisiana is only reporting cases for individuals who have tested positive for covid-19? If not, and they're using the epidemiological criteria as well, is this included in the 'test performed' count?

Admits exceeding discharges by nearly 600 per day now. Even if that trend doesn’t increase, Texas is in big trouble 2 weeks from now. I wish that what I am seeing would give me optimism - and behaviors have improved some - I am just afraid it is too little too late.
Wednesday - 9,610 hospitalized in TX.
Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
Deaths are trending up with Texas and Florida. It will be interesting to see what the next week holds.

Absolutely. Percent positive is worrisome.
And it’s not like early on when so much of the problem was in the Greater NOLA Metro. Data returned from Regions 4 & 5 are troubling.
What are we getting wrong that other countries have gotten right?
Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
My sister and brother-in-law, 58 and 60 years old respectively, who live in the suburbs of Choudrant, have both tested positive for the corona virus. Neither of them can smell or taste anything, and my brother-in-law had a cough that lasted three days, but neither have any other symptoms and appear to be on the mend quite nicely. It seems to me that this virus doesn't appear to be affecting people nearly as bad as it once did.

Younger people are getting it. More test = more positives, false positives, and false negatives.
