I ate at Newks in Tyler a few weeks back. Better than McCallisters IMO. I think it would do well in Ruston.

Actually I had heard there was going to be a Newks in the North Village whatever it's called. Don't know if that's reliable or not. I think we discussed it a tiny bit way, way back in this thread.
Have had several discussions over the years with various friends who thought the old Shoney's would have been a great spot for a McAllister's; but no one would bite the dust and put one in. There's a Walgreen's on that spot now, so we'll have to find a better place for it.
