Yesterday I was told # is somewhere in the 2500-3000 range of tickets to SU fans. That includes the 1000 allotment. More than I gave credit for, but as of now Jay is right. Long was to go to get to 8000.

That said, I wish it were different. I wish that Southern had to choose whether to bring the band or the fans and we didn't have availability for both.

So at the end of the day. What all this boils down to, none of you have a clue how many tickets are sold at this point

Statboy, you need to take a writing class. Your sentence structure is much like your football team: Very bad.

I don't recall professing to be an English teacher and since this is a sports forum, I doubt it very seriously if any of us are going to get graded on grammar or proper writing techniques. That's like telling a guy sitting down at his table with his kids, that he needs to go to proper etiquette class because he doesn't have his fork on the so-called right side of this plate.
Speaking of which you might want to take a few private classes yourself.

You would probably spend your time more wisely by teaching this guy, that the first amendment isn't a part of the federal government .
You may save some lives in the process.

Why would an intelligent person send only 500 tickets to a school of Southern's reputation? Jay had it wrong on 97.7; Tech sent SU 5000 (not 500) tickets and SU has requested 5000 more. It is my understanding that Tech is only willing to send 2000 more. I'm told SU sold out of its allotment within 4 days and only recently requested the additional tix. I have 9 Tech tix sitting on my coffee table as I write. I obtained my tix through the SU Alumni Chapter in Bastrop/Morehouse. Mine were among 231 tix initially ordered by the chapter. If SU-Morehouse would order 231 tix, why would Tech send only 500 to SU?

Home field advantage. I have never been to a game in which the opponent was told, "you can have 5,000 tickets and they are all in these 2 sections." It has nothing to do with SU or anyone else of your or any other reputation. Any home team wants to maintain the competitive advantage by spreading the opponent as thin as possible. Several of our fans are attending the game at K-State this year and have commented that Tech doesn't seem to have a block of tickets anywhere.

You are being graded. The class is Life 101. People are evaluated every second of every day on how clearly they can communicate.

That's exactly what happens in my home. Supper isn't served until the child in question has correctly set the table. (And forks go on the left.)

You mean Southern's reputation as humorless, standoffish snobs? Tech already has its own contingent of surly, golf-clapping curmudgeons (we call them the 'blue-hairs'). I think a maximum of 500 additional sourpusses from the other team is reasonable.

My 6th grade math teacher at Westside Elementary School in Bastrop, Mrs. Darlene Smith, took us on a visit to SU-Baton Rouge in the spring of 1980. It was a great trip and a beautiful campus?
Who is involved with the SU-Morehouse alumni?

You have to ask someone if you had a great trip and if it is a beautiful campus? ;)

Mrs. Darlene Smith didn't teach him the difference between and exclamation pt and a question mark. I didn't know they gave tours. I'll have to book one for the next time I'm there.

Graded on grammar? No. But if you want to effectively communicate and have people respect your opinions, proper grammar wouldn't hurt. Maybe that isn't taught at Southern.
