Send UAB to UTEP, Rice to Tech. Now you have 2 less teams sitting at home.

Too logical, which is probably why Conference USA won't consider it.
I will give the office credit if they actually do.

Re: 2020 Season - Covid Edition
I've seen articles this morning that the CDC is looking to change their quarantine guidelines soon. Looks like it might be 2 days after testing negative providing you wait 3 to 5 days after exposure to test. That would cut the quarantine time to 7 to 10 days after exposure. Maybe this will help with some of the scheduling problems.

Nick Saban has tested positive again, this time with symptoms.

Don't worry his legal team is researching loopholes as we speak. Expect him to coach in the Iron Bowl this weekend. Otherwise it looks like we will have to cancel all of college football this weekend.:laugh::laugh:

By Wednesday night at 6 pm we have already had nine games called off for this weekend. Last week we had games being called off as late as Saturday morning. Any bets on an ovr/under this week?

North Texas is reporting positive COVID tests for 6 football players. :bomb:
We are a 2-point to 3.5 point favorite btw.

This is no surprise. After yesterday's fiasco in San Antonio, the natives are very restless tonight in Denton, TX. UNT Head Coach Seth Littrell knows this. I suspect he would much rather live to fight another day by cancelling this game, rather than lose another game this season to a peer opponent. Without losing another game, Littrell knows he can survive the season. But lose to LA Tech, and they just might send him packing.

Once you multiple the 6 positives by contract tracing this game will be postponed/cancelled. We have he worst luck. CUSA needs to copy some of the other leagues and have available teams play each other.

If you can survive a college dorm I'm pretty sure you're immune to COVID, I don't make the rules

I saw this somewhere on twitter, but I hope you are right. I would think if 6 players tested positive the game would already be postponed. So hopefully we are good to go for Thursday. And hopefully we can get another game for next week.

Re: 2020 Season - Covid Edition
TCU is leaking that they've booked another game.
Maybe it's us?

CUSA scheduled a conference game for UAB this weekend against MTSU. No surprise for the little golden boy to get preferential treatment.

And as soon as that happened UTEP cancelled on USM. Given USM's coaching and injury situation, it is probably a tougher game for UAB to go to Murfreesboro than to have USM go to Birmingham.

Either SMU or us. Could be either December 12 or December 19, but December 19 could interfere with a potential bowl game.

Nostradamus couldn’t even predict Tech/TCU on Dec 12th, 2020.
What is this sorcery you are demonstrating?

The issues are at MT. UAB is looking for a game, and USM is available to makeup last week's game.

Gameday is in Conway for Liberty at Coastal Carolina. But Liberty is waiting on tests to see if it can play.
If Liberty can't play, it looks like ESPN is going to bring in BYU as the replacement.

Should we join the Sun Belt?

A team that the UL Presidents refer to as UL is dominant in that league. Would it be good if we could play that fagship on a regular basis?

Re: 2020 Season - Covid Edition
Who cares about how one good season? If I were a ULL fan I’d hate that our best team in years has to play in this toilet of a season. This whole season is one big asterisk. Should be enough to get Napier hired away and then back to square one.

Still 34 bowls scheduled even though espn.com lists only 33 by not including the Arizona Bowl which is the only bowl game not on an ESPN/ABC outlet.
There were going to be 42 FBS bowl games this year (Fenway and Myrtle Beach new bowls) with 8 now canceled and two relocated (Fenway to Montgomery and New Mexico to Frisco).

This puts CUAB in a pickle. IF the Blazers don't find an opponent for this weekend, they won't likely qualify for the West Div title. They've only played 3 conference games.
I really hope CUAB doesn't schedule a game with USM. Right now, that whole USM program is akin to a dead Bernie Lomax, the lead character in the Weekend at Bernies.

It's a done deal. CC will play BYU this Saturday.
https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/coastal-carolina-will-play-byu-after-liberty-game-canceled-improving-cougars-chances-for-big-bowl/
So, while undefeated Marshall from CUSA was afraid to play BYU this week, the Sunbelt's Coastal Carolina was not. If I had one, my vote would go to CC before Marshall.
