Re: Tech XX has Passed Away?!
I understand the Alumni Association is trying to raise funds to buy a new bulldog.

Re: Tech XX has Passed Away?!
The very first Bulldog, according to legend, was not much more than a stray to start with, yet he was adopted by a few and died a hero. I guess you could say he was a "Rescue Dog" couldn't you.
Why not revive that legend and make TECH XXI a rescue, there are some out there available, who knows, there may be one that is colored up just right and might just make our best TECH yet. I would really like to see it looked into, it could be the start of another wonderful tradition and I bet we would make a lot of headlines by adopting a rescue dog.
Re: Tech XX has Passed Away?!
I'm still shocked..... and sad.
Re: Tech XX has Passed Away?!
Another idea so that there would be less chance of having to buy another bulldog:
After we buy our next mascot, we have our list of applicants to be the caretakers. When the pup is old enough to breed, one of the stipulations on his breeding rights would be that Tech get the first pick of the litter so as to find a pup that resembles his/her father. We then get the pup and award it to the next applicant in line to be caretaker. That way, we have an immediate stand-in on the days Tech can't make a function, we have an immediate replacement if the unfortunate were to happen, and we wouldn't have to buy a new dog.

Have you ever seen an English Bulldog at a canine rescue? You could look at every one in the nation and probably could NEVER find one.

You would be very, very surprised at what you find at a rescue.

Here's a conspiracy theory for Champ967.
How do we know Dr. Sexton isn't throwing an employee under the bus or made a pay off to take the blame to limit the damage to his business?

I've seen them on occasion, but it is very rare.

I know you are only trying to lighten things up, but I know Patrick very well, and I know how much he loved that dog. It pains me to know what Patrick is going through.

I agree with that one. I meant during the rest of his weekly life.
