The typical Jech game. Given a chance, can’t really capitalize and then when the other team wakes up and gets series, Jech can’t really do shit and of course Crumble coaches like he hasn’t got a clue what play to call.

We know exactly what to expect the rest of the way. Offense will show flashes on about 2 drives per game. Defense will play well outside of the 3-4 big plays they determine the outcome. Formula equals loss.
I watched this game. It was the most obvious display of biased referees I have seen in years!!! Even the TV announcers commented on it. No holding calls on N C State and no pass interference calls!! TECH got screwed!!!! In my opinion, the ACTUAL SCORE WAS: Tech 20, N. C. State 16, Refs 14.
Did I see these were CUSA refs? Screwed by our own? Ours or theirs it doesn't matter. There were some blatant no calls. I'm SO tired of that. Just means, though, that you have to play better and coach better. You have to dominate and that ain't happening with LA Tech anytime soon...
Bad enough we have what looks to me to be the absolute worst fbs program in the country, but how come we also have the absolute worst radio announcer to go with it ?? Dude needs to be assigned full time to the lady Jechsters and NOTHING ELSE. My ears still hurt from listening today.
At least we wore good uniforms, one of my favorite combos, especially the helmets. Good job on the attire!
Yep, the zebras screwed us, but we still have HUGE gaps in the quality of our play, and even HUGER gaps in our coaching. Yeah, we can go back and discuss the different decisions throughout the game, but it won't change anything going forward. We're stuck with Coach Crummy & Staff for the rest of this season for sure, and probably 2 years beyond that. But...
Two key points, involving special teams:
1) you ALWAYS rush the punter, send two guys in trying to block the punt and/or be there in case the punter has a problem, like what happened yesterday. Missed opportunity
2) kick the FG when down 10 pts in the 4th qtr, make it a one-score game. Yes, kicker might have missed the FG, but it's the right call.
Oh, and 3) if you're gonna gamble, put the whole game on the line with a 4th down call, make it a good call.
With a new president and AD it’s time for Jech to speak up about league officiating. Don’t let them, whoever it is, be allowed to continue screwing Jech with the biased calls. Don’t think for a minute that every CUSA official wouldn’t rather be aligned with some other conference because they absolutely would. If making some bad calls or not making the right calls benefits them with a future bigger conference job I wouldn’t put it past one bit to help a bigger conference team. Now I’m not looking for Jech to be helped by conference officials like all other conferences are by their officials but within our own league we need to be pounding a table top about absolute fairness. Bad officiating can’t be tolerated. It’s too impactful to players and coaches livelihoods and for their family’s stability too.
After rewatching the Tech game. I give Crumbie a “D” on play calling and our offense a generous “C-“ on execution. Crumbie calls way too many plays that are too close to the line of scrimmage where things are too congested and we lose any advantage of knowing the play because our competition is too fast. There’s nothing new about this which only goes to show that Crumbie isn’t learning anything about what’s been wrong in the past.
