Join the VICTORY Band at 1245a at the...

I don't post much but I do visit this site daily. I've learned to skip HogDawg's post because most things he says are wrong and/or irrelevant. And his opinions (granted-they ARE opinions) are ridiculous on Alot of issues. Busting peoples balls (i.e. All rustonites) for not showing up falls under this category.

In my 5 years of doing the Victory Band (what we have always called it) I rarely ever saw anyone but band members there.

Granted.

The "Victory Band" is something entirely coordinated by Mr. Robken. He gets word from someone travelling with the team as to their ETA. He sends word out to the band members (mostly volunteer) to be up there with their instruments ready to play.

Other than that, it's not a widely publicized event.

We actually called it "Win-Lose-or-Draw Band" for a few years as we would show up regardless of the outcome.

Absolutely. It's like two different people.

I think he's just reached that stage where being incredibly, almost irrationally cynical about everything is a way to show how mature and sophisticated one is. He will grow out of it. A lot of folks go through that stage in their early 20's when they first get out on their own.
