I am impressed. I hope they can push the creative envelope and not just become another generic metal band.

They're trying to "do their own thing". They're very influenced by Dream Theater. when they write, they're all involved. It's an interesting process that they go through.

Dream Theater is a good band to draw influence from. My problem with Dream Theater is that there music has a bit of a sterile feel to me - too much virtuoso and not enough feeling.

I agree. I keep telling the guys they need to play more from the heart and less from the head. As they get more confident, you can see then maturing.

It is definitely a tricky balance to establish. It is awesome when you can make music that appeals to intelligence and emotion.
