That is EXACTLY what the USF fans posted here and on the CUSA board that we should expect from a Skip Holtz coached team. Albeit very bitter, those fans were absolutely geniuses!!! How did they know this?

I submit that the team watched Holtz as he struggled with the easiest of situational decisions and consistently (and stubbornly) chose the grossly conservative answer with completely ineffective and predictable results. Once it is painfully obvious that the coach is unprepared it becomes a very demoralizing situation for the players and shows up in their hopeless effort level in the game.
We don't need a "gamble at all costs" coach but we also don't need one who is trying to win every game by a final score of 3-0 either.

Very true and Tech hired Skip because they thought he was an experienced Head Coach able to take over a winning program
and continue to build. Not revert back to the old losing ways of Bicknell!
It is not a falsehood. USF is decimated. He would golf instead of attending high school football camps on campus. He and his team of assistants left USF with bottom of the barrel talent. To the point true freshman were displacing Holtz recruits.
I don't know what investment you have in Holtz, but it is silly to say something two schools have factually experienced appears to be a falsehood.
I'm saying it looks like they did a nice job last year and are doing a better job this year. You have to remember that none of these assistants were on his staff at ECU or USF (and they do most of the recruiting). Totally different recruiters... totally different part of the country.... totally different school he's recruiting to.
Group-think is a difficult disease to overcome. But, you, T1, seem to be unaffected. :D
Then T1 would be on the right side of this debate. Groupthink occurs when group members make a poor evaluation or reach a bad decision because they choose conformity and unanimity over critical analysis. So, good for you T1 (somebody has to have your back now and then)!
One of the main reasons I argue here is because of "group think." There are uninformed people who conform to group think because they know no better. I think Holtz has proven himself at Uconn and ECU and he had 1 bad year at USF (2 good years). He inherited a dumpster fire at Tech, and I guaran-damn-tee you he is going to straighten this crap out. It was a good hire.... we hired a guy who knows what it takes to win. He is going to get fired because our boosters are dumb and will not give him time... but the next guy is going to inherit a good situation because of Skip Holtz. It's a shame that Dykes screwed Tech over, but... good for him, he's a millionaire now!
T1, keep posting. I don't know if you remember LFR (Looking For Results), but it seems you have taken his place. I don't like to read the same BS all the time. I like a different point of view....especially if that point of view makes sense or can be validated. You keep everyone on their toes and that is a good thing!
Even if you are wrong.:D
