I do wonder, though, if all good news about the University will have to be posted under this topic. Not being ugly, just sayin.

I posted it here because that was what this merger was all about. Economic development. To me it appeared some folks had a hard time grasping that concept, especially our favorite trio of state senators. In posting it here, my hope was for folks to better make the connection between Louisiana Tech, economic development, and what that could mean for northwest Louisiana with a merger.
It doesn't matter to me if the article was posted in its own thread, but what would be the over/under on the number of replies? Three?

I can appreciate your reasoning, I reckon.
However, buried a thousand deep below posts like Dog80's proclaiming how inept one becomes when they recieve a PhD...what's the over/under of reads?

I don't know. Maybe more people would read it because more people are subscribed to this thread.
Here's a good editorial by CABL: A "Pong" moment for higher education

It is if all you want to do is push your agenda.

HELLO! If I was governor, and I had an agenda, I'd certainly want folks that agreed with me in key stakeholder roles. Jindal has done a lot...whether you agree with him or not...by saying, "Get on board, or get gone."
