I saw a few clips from Anderson Cooper's interview with Biden on CNN a day or two ago. He asked Biden about his administration's failure to restock the 85 million masks and other PPE after H1N1 in 2010. They had more than 6 years to do so but didn't.Quote:

Yeppers! obummer had 6 years, Trump has had 3 years...after all we all know if the POTUS doesn't say something not one other damn person has enough sense to act, or to bring it to the attention of someone in authority. What I can't figure out is why hasn't Goosey been posting about this shortage? He knows everything (after it has already happened, of course). Well, if it alluded Goosey how can anyone else be expected to know about it?
Now...on to more important matters: the future.
I hope this drives home the point many people, including Trump, have been making about "America First." If anyone ever needed a better example, a better reason, why we cannot have open borders, why we must assure we have key industries, this C-19 crisis is it. CLOSE THE EFFING BORDERS! Period! Control immigration at points of entry, airports and such. Monitor world events and act quickly and decisively when it first appears something is amiss. If it turns out to be more of a false alarm, then it's far better to say "sorry" afterwards then to screw up and endure this kind of mess.

French Expert: Second Study Shows Malaria Drug Helps Fight Coronavirus

Paris (AFP) – The controversial French professor who believes the anti-malaria drug chloroquine can help beat the coronavirus, has claimed that a new study he has conducted confirms its “efficiency” at combatting the virus.
But several other scientists and critics of microbiologist Didier Raoul who heads the infectious diseases department of La Timone hospital in Marseille, were quick to cast doubt upon his findings. They said the testing was not carried out in a controlled study and that the results were purely “observational”.
Dr Raoult, whose theory has been taken up by US President Donald Trump, said his new study of 80 patients showed that four out of five of those treated with the drug had “favourable” outcomes.
He had earlier reported that after treating 24 patients for six days with hydroxychloroquine and the antibiotic azithromycin, the virus disappeared in all but a quarter of them.

Watching the nationwide numbers come in, it appears that total case count has reached an inflection in its second derivative which could indicate that the lockdowns have started making an impact.
The total new cases are still increasing per day but the rate of increase of the increase seems to have reversed.
We haven’t seen the same inflection in the total death count yet.
