Is anyone really surprised that POtuS Dump is running this country like a reality TV show? He and his new communication director are national disgraces.
I just want to say I am so proud that President Trump put Anthony Scaramucci in a position of power. Really, so proud! #keepingitclassy
Bill Clinton got impeached for getting blowjobs in the oval office yet the Democrats would not vote to remove him from office. Now THAT was a national disgrace. The fact that the CIA and the FBI are chock full of deep state leakers is another national disgrace. Trump's new communications director is going to ferret out the white house leakers and fire their asses. That is anything BUT a disgrace. Trump won the election. Get over it.
History will not look kindly on Trump supporters and defenders.
 I'm willing to take my chances!
I think history will grill you obummer and Krooked Killary Klinton supporters, just like those that voted for Carter have been shown to be morons.
Here's my personal story, and the one I will explain to my grandkids and maybe great grandkids some day:
1. I did not vote for Trump in the Republican primary. I actually voted for Ted Cruz, but could have supported Rubio or Kasich ahead of Trump.
2. Once Trump secured the Repub nomination, I was compelled to find a reason to support him over the democrapic nominee.
3. That was VERY easy when the 'craps put up Krooked Killary.
4. The REAL problem is the Washington DC establishment, and Trump is anti-establishment.
5. Once elected he became our President, and I prefer our Presidents to do a good job, so I "support" him in that hope.
6. Trump aggravates the SHIT out of you libtards!!! That's worth something!
I am not a liberal, but Trump aggravates everyone with any sense of humanity.
Fair statement, but poor motive.
My son has aggravated me many times, but, I want him to be successful because I know his heart.
God often accomplishes His plan using people that causes you skin to crawl.
History is full of imperfect people (some absolutely evil) that cause good to come about. It isn't about our style, nor our way.
And, no, God doesn't need our approval, doesn't want to be a part of our plans and ways. He wants us to be a part of what He will bring to pass, and He intends that for good not evil.
He's in control, we aren't, and ignorance of that will buy us nothing.
Absolutely...this is true of Trump, Obama, and Carter! It's also true of Pol Pot, Hitler, and Mussolini. That said, I'm not sure how God's sovereignty alleviates concerns over character flaws of our leaders.
What I would say is dangerous is when God's people champion those who act in an evil manner just because they're on "our team" or because they're not as bad as the other option. It isn't dangerous from a utilitarian context (that makes all the sense in the world), it is dangerous in an Ezekiel 22:28 sense.
You're probably talking about more recent leadership, but King David is a fine example of flaws being alleviated.
Evil?
Your logic says, since the option is, in your opinion, not better rather "not as bad" we should go with the worst possible option (Hillary). I'm not following how supporting Trump is claiming he is doing God's work. That's not was I read into OLDBLUE's post.
Nothing that David did alleviated his character flaws. His flaws were real. Did God use them despite that? Of course, but that doesn't invalidate the fact that he was an adulterer and a murderer. So no, his flaws were not alleviated. The king of Assyria is actually the one that popped into my mind first. God used him to punish Israel according to his sovereign plan...he then turned around and punished the Assyrians because their acts were evil. So, a faithful Assyrian could've, in good conscience, spoken against the evil acts of the Assyrian king...he would've been right even though God was going to use those evil acts to accomplish his purposes.
Yes, evil.
And, my logic said nothing of the sort. I never advocated voting for Hillary and I didn't vote for Hillary. That said, I understand people who did believing Trump was dangerous...just as I understand people who think Trump is abominable, but voted for him because they thought Hillary was evil. As I said, I understand the utilitarian votes that have been cast in the past election.
I don't say that all Trump supporters are saying he's doing God's work and I certainly didn't take OLDBLUE's post as saying that. But those folks are out there (Franklin Graham leading the charge along with Robert Jeffres and others) and I think that's dangerous.
I think anyone who ever excuses sinful behavior because it was committed by "our guy" is being deceived and that's dangerous for that individual and, to the extent that that individual speaks for the CHURCH, it is dangerous for the CHURCH.
