My son's 4th grade class did a nice Christmas gift for parents. It was a framed sheet of paper that randomly listed things their parent likes. It printed the things I REALLY like in large print and the print decreased in size from there. I may need to work on my priorities if this is the way a 10 year old boy sees his dad, but still not bad...
1. Bulldogs
2. Church
3. Family
4. Golf
5. Bass
6. Camp
7. Stormchasers
8. Gumbo
9. Football
10. Backstrap
11. Man vs. Wild
12. Burgers

My aunt was cooking boxed potatoes when the glass baking dish exploded in the oven. It didn't crack and fall apart. It blew up. So, at first I thought "thermal expansion," right? Except the dish was loaded with the potatoes and had four cups of boiling water poured into the dish. Additionally, this dish had been used in an oven many, many times.
So, what makes borosilicate explode under heat like that?

Apparently not, but I'm still surprised that the pan exploded instead of just cracking and falling apart.
Re: Comments That Don't Warrant A Thread
sounds almost like it got cracked somehow beforehand, but not bad enough to come apart. then a little water got in the cracks and heated up -- b.l.e.v.e.
