You really are a stooge. McKinney has
repeatedly been listed on
Forbes Magazines' Top 25 places to live, and
Money Magazine's "Best Places to live", among others. Here's a partial list of McKinney's very recent awards, including the two I just mentioned (just scroll down.)

Like the football game UNT just lost tonight, this is NOT a contest that you and the City of Denton will win. Just give it up.

100 Best Communities for Young People
In 2012, McKinney was named one of America’s Promise Alliance’s 100 Best Communities for Young People presented by ING. The national award was given to the city and McKinney ISD to recognize outstanding and innovative work in addressing the high school dropout crisis and for its programs and services that make it an outstanding place for youth to live, learn and grow. The annual competition recognizes communities that prioritize youth education and well-being.
No. 2 on Money Magazine Best Places to Live List
In the August 2012 issue of Money Magazine, McKinney ranked No. 2 on the biennial “Best Places to Live in America” list. McKinney was the only city in Texas to appear in the top 10 that year. McKinney debuted on the list in 2008 at No. 14 and moved up to No. 5 in the next edition in 2010.
Money editors and writers look at employment, schools, crime and safety and overall quality of life aspects to come up with the list. McKinney earns consistently high marks for beautiful natural parks and open spaces, affordable and diverse housing, plenty of jobs and a vibrant downtown that offers lots to do for residents.
“The city offers plenty of housing options, from starter homes to old Victorians and ‘Texas-style’ five-bedrooms. Low taxes have lured companies with white-collar jobs in technology and energy, a new hospital opened in July, and a conference center and hotel complex is in the works.” McKinney also boasts “easy access to rolling green hills, golf courses, and leafy open spaces lacking in neighboring towns.”
