You could have stopped with 'I think'. What you 'think' may not be what others would if you provide them with the complete citation.

The majority of the article was a timeline of events. Are you saying that all of these events are 'conjectured'?
It's easy to sit on the sidelines three months later and say we could have done more. Do you think Hillary would have done any better? The only reason she could have would the Chinese may not have released it or would have given her more of a heads up that it was coming.
Please enlighten us with how this should have been handled. But please don't consider you have the additional three months knowledge.
“We can only wonder whether accurate and timely information from China would have altered the way the U.S. government, the American people, and the world prepared for the oncoming danger of infection.“
This part that you quoted is explicitly conjecture. The commentary around the timeline includes conjecture.
I believe anyone would have done a better job than Trump, because Trump is the only president we have had that goes with his gut rather than what his experts tell him.
You could go through this thread where I documented in real time some of the things that I would have thought were reasonable to do (even without the classified intelligence Trump has access to).
For example, I like the idea of doing testing in our major transportation hub cities to spot outbreaks of Coronavirus before they become widespread.
I wouldn’t have deprioritized pandemic response by disassembling the team led by a pandemic director sitting on the NSC.
I would have gotten in front of this economic issue weeks earlier knowing that we would need to do a shutdown and that would crush all our small businesses.
If I had access to the info Trump had, I (or anyone else) could have done much better. My opinions were influence solely on public information about what was going on in China to stop the spread in January. Why the fed government waited until mid March to start figuring this stuff out is beyond crazy.
The problem is that Trump discounts information that is not good for him. You know that is true. But sticking your head in the sand is a terrible response to a crisis.
Sorry, not “this” thread but the COVID thread.
When was that time? Were they gonna get the test kits out of thin air? Oh yeah, it was Trump's fault that the test kits were not available IMMEDIATELY. He should have and 400 million test kits on the shelves instead of throwing away those that your hero Obama had in place for such a time as this.
Trump's instincts proved 100% correct on the Chicoms, but he had very, very little in actual intelligence. I like how Goosey faults Trump for supposedly ignoring his expert advisors...too bad he didn't act "on his gut" on this! He was 100% right! He felt the Chicoms were lying their asses off...as did other civilized nations like Australia, New Zealand, and Japan who all expressed concerns back in December. Trump asked the CIA to gather intelligence but as mentioned the Chicoms are good at locking things down. Now, can you imagine the reaction, including Goosey's, if Trump had taken draconian action based soley on his gut!? Hell! Trump received grief from the libs as late as January 31 for his travel ban!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It would be far better for everyone if the libtards would sit in the corner and suck their thumbs, or whatever they choose to suck, and let the adults run the country.
