Catholic over Byrd in Championship
In a rematch of last year's Division III final:
Lafayette Christian 12, St. Charles Catholic 7. Final.
Frank Monica and SCC Comets nearly pulled the upset.
St. Thomas More defeats De La Salle 35-28 in the Division II final.
Both late games on Monday turned into thrillers.
Hats off to Natchitoches for fulfilling LHSAA's Plan B move this year away from the NOLA mayor and the Dome.
Very community supported by the university personnel. People had trouble finding places open after night games after 8 pm.
Sometimes the coordination between the various factions is not present. The Hall of Fame extended its hours to accommodate visitors, but most of the private businesses, including restaurants were not alerted and some never even knew the event was being held. I was a liaison between NSU and the city and the chamber of commerce some years back, in my role as Director of the SBDC, and even then it was like pulling teeth to get information ahead of time.
Holler next time you head this way.
Trophy finally arrived
Quote:
So it took OVER A YEAR, to get the trophy? Why is the trophy arriving so late? The trophy doesn't look like it's got any kind of special engraving or anything on it that couldn't have been finalized before game day in 2020. Kinda looks like standard stuff.
