Our offensive lines and d-lines are trash right now, which the blame has to be squarely laid at the feet of his predecessor
Most injuries that I can remember in a long time
Should of showed better at So Alabama but they were primed for us
Lack of depth and talent is really evident up and down this roster and that's going to take a while to fix even with the transfer portal
Of course it is a very small sample, but did you notice how Rice never got pressure on Lyddy Saturday? That's because Lyddy has QB TALENT, and knows how to get the ball out of the hole fast. Our OL can deal with that. What our OL can't handle, is a QB who holds the football too damn long. Both our QB1 and QB2 have the bad habit of doing that. I noticed every time Downing (QB2) threw the button hook pass, the ball was late getting there. And that's how OL blocking breaks down and QB's get hurt.
There's a reason LA Tech has two QB's injured right now, and it's partially because both hold the ball too long in the pocket.

More bad news. Freeze now has an 8-year deal at Liberty that averages just under $5 million a year. I was hoping Freeze and RR would be with Power 5 teams by next season. This makes Freeze less likely to go. Liberty has the ability to pay like many Power 5 teams.
The contract is eight seasons and averages just under $5 million per year, according to ESPN sources. It is fully guaranteed through the 2030 season, per the sources, and the annual salary will make Freeze the highest-paid Group of Five coach in 2023 after Cincinnati transitions to the Big 12.

Harsin about to learn his fate. Auburn in negotiation with Mississippi State's John Cohen to become new AD. First task? Decide Harsin's fate.

Losing at home 38-20 to Arkansas late in the 4th should mean that the obvious verdict is in. There should be an addition to the list in the top post before Auburn goes to Starkvegas.
Re: 2022 Coaching Carousel
We need to fire our Special Teams Coach and the entire defensive coaching staff….now. Start over from scratch.
We are the worst team in FBS. We looking like a freshman JUCO team. No size, no speed, no talent, no coaching.
Re: 2022 Coaching Carousel
Some of our players know how to strut around after making a routine play though… you know the 1 in about 4 times when they actually make a play.

Can you believe our Special Teams Coach had that role for 21 years at TCU? I guess Gary Patterson ran their Special Teams too. Let Sonny run the offense. Guess why Patterson got fired?

That verdict was in last spring when the investigation of Harsin did not allow the boosters to fire him for cause. Now they will have to pay him. Harsins only hope was to win the sec. Word is Leach not part of a package deal. Guesses are it is not Freeze either, wish it was though, he is going to have his way in cusa.

Freeze just signed an 8-year $40 million extension at Liberty, but reportedly the buyout isn't too excessive to prevent a move.

Players lacking Size, Speed, and Talent coupled with an apparent lack of basic/natural football smarts puts any coach in a precarious position. I had hopes for the new DC based on his history. I'm wondering can he sustain any respectability while he builds the bench back (recruiting). By now you'd think some basic blocking and tackling coaching would have sunk in for some of these players.

If Auburn wants Freeze, they will get him...
Buyout or no buyout

Liberty has the money and will have more money if Auburn buys out Freeze's contract.
Re: 2022 Coaching Carousel
Well the shoe has dropped at Auburn. The question now is who picks it up?
Is Freeze really that happy at Liberty? I would hate that if there is finally a coach at a G5 school who would forgo the money, fame and everything else a P5 school offers and it's Freeze.
Is it Kiffin? He would like the increase in NIL money.
Or is it someone else?
Funny thing is the President fired him, after all the talk of the new ad being the one who was going to have to dirty his hands.
As a Tech fan, I hope it is Freeze.
Here are SI's guesses.
