BigDog, muthers is no longer a bar, where many a happy nights were spent, it has gone through many changes and is now a thrift store if I am not mistaken.

Yeah, I knew it wasn't "Muthers" I just didn't know what it was. You're right though, ..........good times, good times. Thanks raam.
Re: Johnny's Pizza getting national pub...
raam, you beat me by two seconds. Was about to say Muther's was a thrift store. And speaking of P. O. Cafe and the pies and open faced hot roast beef sandwiches, does anyone remember the hot roast beefs at Hood's? Am I aging myself for sure now? It was a drive-in where the fire station and Classic Chicken are now. Although by the time I got to Tech the drive-in part was gone, but you could eat inside. YUM! And Shakey's was a water mattress store (Sleepy Hollow, I think) at one time, and after it left the place was totally grown over. Now it's part of Sleep Inn motel at the corner of 167 and the service road.
Re: Johnny's Pizza getting national pub...

Ahh prof, you probably just had the Pineville River Rat BJ's, you dont know no better, haha. Johnny's is much cheaper, though. That is for sure.
Re: Johnny's Pizza getting national pub...
The PJ's off Jackson is not bad but it's not as good as Johnny's.
Re: Johnny's Pizza getting national pub...
Things must be slow for you guys to hijack the football section to talk about pizza in Ruston.

A few years ago a co-worker told me stories about how he and his Frat Bothers would get there early to sit at the bar. The owner couldn't figure out how these guys never got up to pee. Even asked them if they were wearing Depends. They realized wearing Depends would be a better idea then what they came up with. The smell of the back splash off the bar would kill their nightly "hunts".
Re: Johnny's Pizza getting national pub...
Aahhh... Wongs and Muthers. I was in Ruston a few years ago looking for locations to put a store and I looked in the old Muthers bulding and Trenton Street Cafe building just for amusement. Sure brought back some memories.....potty parties at Muthers and "The Death Burger" at Trenton Street. Wong's was great as Wong always called you "soul brother" and you could play ping-pong in the restaraunt.
As far as pizza goes, Gino's in Chicago is the best I've ever had but I sure mealed on some extra-greasy "Pizza Tech" when I had enough money on my mealcard. When the card money ran low it was "Mom's Kithen" and red beans and rice.

Marketdawg, you need a store in Houston, I am dying for some Crab & Brie dip, along with juicy slab of steak from Maxwell's.

Everytime someone bumps this thread, I get hungry all over again.
