Re: First Look at the Jumbotron
I'm not a huge fan of putting flags on the tron......and I have a feeling Dooley will call it "mickey mouse."

I trust Dooley on whatever decision he makes.
Re: First Look at the Jumbotron
Any time table as to when this will be completed? This should boost ticket sales by curiosity, and folks getting excited about our program moving forward.

I would bet the press box will be one of the next things on Dooley's list. However, BSU spent about $8 mil on theirs a few years back. It will take a similar figure for us to do any type of upgrades because ours is so outdated. I think it can happen, but it may be the only project we have for a year or 2.
Re: First Look at the Jumbotron
Has anyone posted a better picture yet? Is one available anywhere else? Not bashing, as it looks great and I can not wait, but sure would like to brag with a good quality photo!
Re: First Look at the Jumbotron
I believe an indoor practice field should come before the press box upgrade. I think it should be a top priority and probably already is for DD.

I would build one next to Temple baptist with a lighted Tech logo and "louisiana tech" on one side like below for all the passer byers on I-20 can see.
Would love to have one like Massillion High School (OH)
Phase 1
Cost: $3 Million
Size: 80,000 sq ftEntire athletic upgrade - $6 Million Dollar Project

Phase 2...Coming next is a two-story, 18,000-square-foot locker room and sports medicine and health sciences complex in the stadium's north end zone. It is to include classrooms and labs for Massillon students in a special program where they can earn college credits.

I hope we don't spend 8 million on our pressbox. I don't see an upgraded pressbox bringing in more fans or better recruits. What is the purpose of upgrading the pressbox?

Luxury Boxes and Corporate Suites.
Any NFL owner will tell you that's where the $$$ is.

I have been thinking about the Dooley crazy sound effect noises. This has the possibility of a new reveune stream. If he can recreate that noise and develop it into a wild game call.....the underground Tech redneck crowd (which I feel is huge) would buy the "Dooley Deer Call". It could only be purchased at home games or available with a $500.00 LTAC membership - LTAC Camo Cap as a bonus. The potential sales of this could pay for the indoor practice facility - especially if some hunters can lie about the success of it.
