I honestly thought "Turner" was Paul Turner's last name, but according to many sports announcers "Turner" is his middle name and his last name is actually "the-LSU-transfer".

is it much of a stretch to say the all time passing yards record for Tech would've been in jeopardy if JD had been here 4 years? I don't think so, and I hope other big time guys will think seriously about that out of high school.

If we would have had JD for 4 years, it would have been awsome for TECH and Driskel!!! No doubt he would have gone high in the NFL draft. However....he saw SEC stars in his eyes!!! All that green grass.... Many times, it just isn't what you think!!

National Signing Day, usually the first Wednesday of February, is the first day that a high school senior can sign a binding National Letter of Intent for college football with a school that is a member of the United States National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

I believe Jeff Driskel and Cody Sokol before him realize (in hindsight) they would have been better off to have started at Tech, but why did they not see that out of high school and will others start to see it out of high school?

I doubt it. So many young people have no clue what is happening in the world. And, many know nothing about history.

OK, just to get things started I like the red jerseys with no shoulder stripes, white pants and the Red Helmets with blue state/white T like the team wore for the first game in the Joe back in 1968. There is a picture in the 69 Lagniappe of the team lined up for a snap in that game. Since I'm not a paying member I don't believe I can add pictures.

Second favorite is the traditional blue jerseys we wear with white pants and the Red Helmets with blue state/white T.

Third is the same as above with blue pants.

I like the white helmets and think they go well with the all blue or the standard red jersey we use.

But bring back the white T on the red helmets. Red T looks good on the white helmets.

If they ever really want to go retro, how about plain white helmets with the single red stripe? I'm not advocating this. Someone will probably joke and say why not the old leather ones.
