Just discovering this thread and trying to read all the way through it, that is why I'm posting back to back post and making comments on old post.

I think we all figured that out already. It's a fun thread to read. You should try the "what are you listening to" one next (although youtube has removed a lot of the links).

This year I've purchased tickets to 92 MLB games in addition to the 25 games that comes with my Tech season tickets. This doesn't include the countless MiLB games I will attend if Jericho returns to Daytona. Hi, I'm Joseph, and I'm a baseballaholic.

A/An are both articles, not adjectives. The rule is actually that a i used when the article is modifying a word that begins with a connsonant sound. An is used when modifying a word that begins with a vowel sound.
Ex: A University, An Uncle

It's difficult to fail when you're honest with those around you. Being honest with others and yourself makes it nearly impossible.

Dude! Wasn't this from like two yeas ago? Nevertheless, thanks for proving Dirtydawg wrong again.
Now please go into the usage of the word "the" and when it should be pronounced thee (long e). We've got some radio folks that need to be brushed up on that one.

Thee is used when refering to a person. It is like thou or thine. THE is an article like a/an.
EX: Might I take thee to a movie. (some refer to it as Queen's English)
I will take you to the movie.
Also yes it most likely was from that long ago. As I mentioned in a post just a few above this one. I'm just discovering this thread and working my way through reading them.

No I'm talking about pronunciation of the word "the" as it should be pronounced when preceding a word beginning with a vowel or a vowel sound...similar to a/an you discussed earlier.
