Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
So! 5 parishes meet the criteria to totally stop all China virus protocols. But the local parish government has to opt to adopt those measures. The statewide positivity rate from testing has dropped to 6.8%. When the statewide rate dips below 5% and stays there for 14 days, then the state has more options to further reduce restrictions.

That does not meant they shut down the procedure in all "clinics" Do you think these three clinics were the only places fighting to stay open and operating?

The recall is building steam- he may have slowed it by bringing back sports and the bars.
I didn’t think you were defending Rispone. That was a ‘jus sayin’.
Should he or should he not implement the policy and procedure playbook given to him by the White House re: covid19?
Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
I have not been on JBE's case re: the China virus. Like every other political leader he made some mistakes, especially early on when there was little known and/or contradictory and confusing information. JBE allowed Mardi Gras...oh no! What a moron! He obviously hates people and wants them to die!!! Except...nah. While Mardi Grad greatly contributed to the spread of the virus, and in hindsight, should have been cancelled, it is just as stupid to accuse JBE of wanting people to die as it is for idiots to accuse Trump of that. JBE has followed the guidance as has been disseminated, as best he could. Local officials have to take the ball and run with it too. And, most importantly, PEOPLE need to take the ultimate responsibility for themselves.
Yesterday we remembered 9/11. We also know our lives forever changed that day. Security at airports and other aspects of our lives changed and will never go back. It's the new normal. And that's because there are still mooslim terrorists out there that will gladly do it again. Well...the Chicoms, and others, will continue to engineer dangerous viruses and release them on the world. And! combine the two...imagine, if you dare, mooslim terrorists and contagious viruses. So! I foresee tougher travel standards, especially at international airports, and this country had better be prepared to institute draconian measures as necessary...not kow tow to the Left's very predictable hair-pulling and screaming about xenophobia and all their other bullshit...or! all you trying to blame Trump now just STFU! The next pandemic is most likely to occur in about 10 years or so. That seems to be the cycle...unless the Chicoms artificially speed up the process...and thus Trump will not be POTUS next go-around. The biggest question is, is the country, and others, prepared to take the necessary steps when it does happen again? (and, it will...)

Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
I know 5 people who either have, or just had the China virus. One, who still has it, is in tough shape, put on a ventilator. Prospects are not encouraging. One business associate is recovering from it, she texted me she can't talk because it starts her on a coughing binge. But, she is home and doing okay. The other three were husband, wife, and grown daughter...all three had it, he was briefly admitted to the hospital but was released after two days. Just saw all three posting on social media today, so I suppose they are doing okay.
Then...there's the merry band of party animals in the 'hood who continually have gatherings and no one appears to have been infected. Of course, they have just a little blood in their alcohol, so maybe their bodies are so pickeled the virus cannot survive in them!
Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
Definitely worth trying. What’s the downside?

Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
JBE had already moved us back to phase 2 with this trend a few weeks ago.
Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
One of the NSU football players in one of my rentals tested positive so the whole house is on lockdown. This is the second time this has happened. Different player but in same house. Absolutely no symptoms. Spoke with him, at a distance, yesterday. He and his roomies are frustrated by it all. They said if we weren't tested we, and everyone else, would never know any of us had it. True. But I explained it's not about y'all...young and in great physical shape as athletes...it's about who you might come into contact with. To which Reggie says, yes, like you Mr. Dawg80, being old and all of that...I cut him off, "Watch it bud!"
Of course they are so frustrated too by the SLC choosing not to play, especially as they see other conferences playing.

Auto 2 week lock down if a person comes into contact with a positive...this is insane! The definition of "contact" is a moving target. NOTHING scientific about that decision. It's slinging stuff against the wall to see if it sticks.:icon_roll:
