Sure. My preference has always been to add permanent seating along the south end zone hill and to remove the bush league metal wings. There is plenty of room behind the hill for whatever facility we need to build. Create a more collegiate feel to JAS with horseshoe seating. Then build up between the 20s if necessary. All indications have been that excavating the hill has caused nothing but delays, problems, and significant funding.

At this point it would be a waste of money to go beyond conceptual or preliminary designs as they would just have to be redone after sitting on the shelf for multiple years as contingency. Either way, the admin is working on master facility/campus plans that should be rolled out in the near future.
From May 10th post:

May 10 was well after this $20 million project was started, and it will still be a while before the master plan is completed.

Doing the building expansion in the south endzone first capitalizes on the Joe Aillet Fieldhouse and Wyly Athletic Center. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Next the Pressbox side creating an even shadow across with the field an even media and luxury box level.
Next, a second deck above the west side.
Next, a east side luxury box level.
Finally, north endzone seating ad luxury boxes and add another video board to the south above the SEZ.
Now, '06. There's your master plan.
You can, now, go back and continue processing those passports.

You're telling me that this doesn't give us enough room to capitalize on the fieldhouse and Wyly Center?
- Bye-bye bush league wings
- Seating to the hill

Now there is plenty of room to connect a facility to what we already have there while preserving and adding seating to the hill.

Great job of photoshopping-in the crowd on my photo. I need to keep you around.
Sitting on the hill grass was overrated. Too many accidents waiting to happen for the drunkards. Move along.

I didn't photoshop any crowd. This is the 3rd pic those shows up when you google Joe Aillet Stadium. I edited this pic and posted it here a few years ago to take out the metal wings, add end zone seating on the hill (that's not grass seating), and show how much space there is behind the hill to build a facility.

Can you add some pine trees in the north endzone flanking the videoboard?

Yes, please!
Re: South Endzone Complex Daily Progress Report
I wish the seats would be added on the North side below the video board to close that side in.

If I'm not mistaken, we can't add on the North side due to drainage underneath. I may be wrong though?

We have a video board structure already in the north side. I think we can add seating, but not a heavy structure like the SEZ.
Just take down the wings and add metal bleachers on the north side similar to MTSU's. Have a tunnel in the corners for the ambulance. Done.

Re: South Endzone Complex Daily Progress Report
I also wish the wings would just be removed completely, especially now that the ones on the south side are gone. The stadium would just look better without them.
Re: South Endzone Complex Daily Progress Report
I wish we'd just fill the wings with butts and quit bitching about their appearance.
Re: South Endzone Complex Daily Progress Report
The North Side can hold a structure - just not a heavy one, as stated above. If it is too much of a concern, just build a suspension bridge type structure for some more seating and a walkway. Then you can take down the metal wings.
