He is a commie. He voted with the democrats on everything that was important for conservatives. Tell me what he did to help us.

Cassidy has been a strong proponent of US energy production, O&G, and advocates for "drill, baby, drill." Now, that is because the O&G lobby has filled his pocket$, and he probably doesn't really like the O&G industry or fossil fuels, but in practice his vote/support has been positive in that arena. He has co-sponsored bills designed to greatly increase the use of natural gas, a clean-burning fossil fuel. By contrast Biden and the 'craps want to ban gas stoves!
He has been out-spoken in favor of securing the southern border, says all the right things in support of our military, and has a solid "A" rating from the NRA in support of the 2nd Amendment.
Cassidy is a putz and I want him primaried out by a better conservative, but when push comes to shove, he is still better than any 'crap.
You mention the primary thing all the time. You realize we do not have primaries in Louisiana don’t you? We haven’t had them since you were in high school.
I thought Cassidy was going to retire and move to MS and possibly run for Gov there. Or was that Kennedy? Still getting up to speed on LA politics.. been in TX for over 30 years.. l
General election held in October, if no one gets 50% + 1 then there's a runoff between the top 2 vote-getters. Same thing. Keep Cassidy from finishing in the top 2. And, I was also referring to the more general election scene nationwide. I use the expression "primary out" to mean vote for another Republican candidate to try to eliminate the RINOs then. But, if it comes down to a RINO vs. a commie, I am voting the RINO. If they do just ONE THING right while in office, I guarantee that'll be one more thing than the commie will ever do.
We have John Bell Edwards exactly because "conservatives" didn't like the Republican candidate in the run-off.
Not at all the same thing. A true primary picks the republican of choice. That rarely if ever happens in a general election. You are quite the history buff and should know that EWE did away with the primary system in order to eliminate strong candidates against him in the general election.
Yes, I know what EWE did. My point is valid.
Cassidy is going to run for reelection for senate. There will be some dems in the race and there will be other Repubs. Pick out the most conservative Repub and support that candidate, and if all (enough) anti-RINO voters refuse to support Cassidy in the general election he will not finish in the top 2 and make the run-off. Then it'll come down to that anti-RINO Repub vs. the top dem vote-getter in run-off. That is the ONLY way to "safely" get rid of RINOs.
You say this system "rarely if ever happens..." to eliminate the RINO. News flash! it is not the system, it's a combination of ignorant voters and those who actually like a RINO holding office! TRUE CONSERVATIVES represent a small fraction of the populace, and especially those who bother to vote. In Louisiana I'd guess that only about 15-20% vote as a "true" conservative. That % is probably smaller in most states.
You said "same thing". It's not. The most recent example in how our current governor was elected to his last term...
Abraham was the obvious choice until a bunch of idiots below I-10 decided they needed "their guy" in the race. Had there been a republican primary "their guy" would have been beaten soundly and Abraham would have trounced Edwards.
As you said, ignorant voters (huge majority below I-10) made this happen. Louisiana is full of them.
FWIW, Cassidy is already toast. He won't get in the run off.

Who actually voted for this bozo? The best the democraps have to offer! No, Fetterman, like Biden, didn't really win the election, but there were hundreds of thousands who actually did vote for this Frankenstein monster.
He got elected because of who was running against him.....Dr. Oz. I believe Oz was selected by Trump to run, or so I read.
Here is from Google:
Oz for Senate race in Pennsylvania Donald Trump is basing his support for Dr. Mehmet Oz on electability, as Republican candidates vie for the former president's support in key battleground states.Apr 10, 2022
He got elected because over 50% Penn voters are idiots
