Not saying that at all. Again, I posted the pics strictly for reference.

Seems a little extreme. JMHO.

also we must move the fences back another 15 to 20 feet in the corners. Can't do that without moving the grandstands back (bulldozed). I'm not sure why people don't understand that we cannot use bits and pieces of the old venue

Road easements/ building setbacks are the biggest obstacle at the current location. Government red tape will be the biggest factor in what happens. Cost will also play a factor...

FEMA dollars override government anything. Even flag pole movement.
Where are you getting your information? I'm guessing you are hearing it from peeps who don't want to go back to the old locations. That's fine, but please don't play the BS game of "Government red tape" and "costs".
Time is our enemy, not money or government.

All three are least of the problem faced -
I think govt will actually be a bonus on this from Baton Rouge to the City, I don’t see any major flags or hurdles at this point...

This.
Public higher ed institutions have HUGE autonomy as far as land use is concerned. They’re largely a law unto themselves.

Re: Where should LaTech rebuild baseball stadium
I shifted the stadium back some and rotated in-line with Hale Hall. I also stretched the field some to add 15-20 ft to the field. It works out.

Yep! that's why NSU was allowed to gate off streets...public, City of Natchitoches streets. A resident filed a lawsuit seeking to disallow the gates, which close at 10PM every night and are kept closed 24 hrs/day during Christmas break etc...while the university is closed. Only Caspari Street entrance remains opened and it has a gated guard shack, manned by a police officer. The state AG ruled in favor of NSU saying it has "special" privileges to take steps toward maintaining safety on campus.
Re: Where should LaTech rebuild baseball stadium
I see all of this about the "short porches" down the lines, but Love Field doesn't seem to yield significantly more HRs than other parks. Anyone have the stats?

Besides seating, I don't think many are concerned with the field being short as far as wanting a change. I think most are concerned with the NCAA having put in the rule book what the recommended distance for a baseball field should be and with the shack being short would that play into Tech not getting chosen for a host opportunity.
Re: Where should LaTech rebuild baseball stadium
I think The Love shack has one of the most picturesque locations in baseball and don't want it to be moved.
That being said the stadium has to be built to at least minimum "suggested" dimensions by the NCAA if Tech is to ever host a regional. Just working around the field:
Love Shack 315 down the left field line, minimum suggested 330.
Love Shack 370 in the left field power alley, minimum is 375.
Love Shack 385 in center, suggested minimum 400.
Love Shack 340 in the right field power alley, minimum suggested is 375.
Love Shack 325 down right field, minimum suggested 330.
Love Shack 25 feet between left field line and the outside wall, minimum 30 but suggested 37.
Love Shack 12 feet between right field line and the outside wall, minimum 30 but suggested 37.
That's a lot of moving around and ground to make up. As much as I want to see it stay I also want to see baseball be in a position where we can sell the possibility of hosting a regional or super to recruits. It needs to be done right even if that means moving it do so.
Re: Where should LaTech rebuild baseball stadium
Would it be possible to move the stadium closer to the intersection? We'd need a retaining wall on the Tech Drive side (brick of course).
As for parking, we need to have (for football and baseball/softball) a tram similar to Six Flags running constantly through the game with parking available on campus or JAS. These could also be used during the school year to access to parking at JAS to shuttle students to campus.

We need as much distance as possible between the RR property and our property.
