From STP to The Dave Crowder Band? Quite and eclectic mix.

And a darn good mix cd, if I do say so myself. On the way to lunch I got Tesla's What You Give (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8DrIoBvhzE) and the Toad the Wet Sprocket version of the Beatles's Hey Bulldog! (the Beatles version:

Ya know, even the pay version isn't near as good as the first version that came out. I didn't even play computer games back then. All I did was download free music. I had to of gotten over 10,000 songs.
Tonight's musical selection is:
'Tool - Anema'
'Dave Matthews Band - Listener Supported' (concert dvd)
'Theory of a Deadman - Scars & Souvenirs'
Re: What are you listening to Today?
I have an IPod my wife got me for Christmas and I have to say that compared with a lot of groups today I prefer my 80's music. It is what I grew up on and just cannot let it go. I like some good songs by the Outfield, Night Ranger, Duran Duran, Thompson Twins, Gun's N' Roses, Moody Blues (80s stuff), Savage Garden, INXS, Level 42, Whitesnake, among others. My wife is trying to get me to listen to some of the newer groups and she likes a lot of current ones. She never posts on the board but I might get her to post on this thread since this is mostly for current music releases. Have to warn though that she listens to more hard core rock but not exclusively.
Re: What are you listening to Today?
Hardcore rock is welcome. Savage Garden....well, that is another story.
Re: What are you listening to Today?
Colored People - D.C. Talk (actually the whole Jesus Freak album, but Colored People is what is playing now).
Re: What are you listening to Today?
Heard Jars of Clay's Flood the other day at a local restaurant. Kind of surprised to hear it, but it reminded me how bad the song sucks.
Right now I am listening to all the Smashing Pumpkins albums on shuffle on my iPod. Currently on the song "Hummer."
Re: What are you listening to Today?
Randy Newman: Political Science, The World Isn't Fair, Feels Like Home, New Orleans Won the War
Good stuff.

I like Flood - do you really not like it, or were you just beat down by it when it was being played every five minutes? I can see how it wouldn't be to everyone's tastes, what did you think of Toad the Wet Sprocket back in the day?

Jorts and Tevas. These bands are post-Grunge at its worst. So technically TTWS had "hits" that were contemporaneous with the grunge movement, but TTWS reminds me alot of the soft-core rock bands like Counting Crows, Savage Garden, Dishwalla and Duncan Sheik. I am not a fan of this music style.
Re: What are you listening to Today?
Ramones- You gotta love Blitzkrieg Bop and Judy is a Punk
