Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
Avg age is 75, the median age is 76.
Data:
5 deaths in the age range 0-17.
24 in age 18-29
80 in age 30-39
176 in age 40-49
475 in age 50-59
996 in age 60-69
3,739 in age 70+
This is interesting...
in the two youngest age brackets, age 0-29 there have been 54,961 cases and 29 deaths, that's .053%. On the opposite end, age brackets of 60-70+ there have been 39,593 cases and 4,735 deaths, that's 11.96%. So, far, unless the data is listed elsewhere, 100% of all deaths list some "other condition", with hypertension being the single biggest cause.

Pawdawg used to argue that it was only “untreated hypertension” that was a comorbidity. I never saw his source for that.

Never said that. You said HBP was an underlying condition. I replied that HBP was not an underlying condition if it was treated. HBP is a normal part of the aging process and if treated with meds, diet, and exercise, it's not a problem. Funny that the CDC refrains from calling being a fat ass an underlying condition.
Actually cardiovascular disease is the biggest cause not hypertension alone.

On the website it lists hypertension 52% and further down the list cardiac disease at 21%. Now, if you add all the listed % it equals greater than 100%. So clearly it is not simply a percentage of "underlying conditions" assigning a cause, because it would add to 100%. It is meant as some combination of causes.

Yes, because of people with multiple comorbities.

Okay...and what % of China virus deaths were people with ZERO "underlying conditions?" I don't think I have ever seen a figure on that.

Does it even matter given that the majority of American adults have one of the comorbidities, particularly hypertension or obesity?

Yes, it matters. So, how many people have died from China virus who were 100% healthy? It's a fair question.

Who is 100% healthy?
Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
Comorbidities
Table 3 shows the types of health conditions and contributing causes mentioned in conjunction with deaths involving coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). For 6% of the deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 2.6 additional conditions or causes per death. The number of deaths with each condition or cause is shown for all deaths and by age groups. For data on comorbidities,
