Sooooo, did minorities go to private schools that were predominantly minority? How do you offer vouchers to minorities and end up more segregated, unless they are segregating themselves? Maybe they are trying to get away from white people like you (who constantly remind them they are not white and therefore at a natural disadvantage). Is integration by race the real goal, or is it economic equality? Shouldn't we be creating opportunities for everyone regardless of color?

Not every minority community is poor. There are black and Latino pilots, accountants, college graduates, doctors, etc. If they are deciding to go to private schools that are majority minority, but they get a better education and expand their horizon, why would you want to take that from them? Or do you just want poor minorities going to school with poor whites, and then call that a success because they are different colors?

The problem with his argument is that reality disproves his theory. He can requote his argument all he wants. School choice has racist origins and it isn’t surprise that it has yielded racist results. The data shows that vouchers has increased segregation.

Is the voucher program only offered to wealthy white kids, therefore making it a racist system?

Just like every other supposedly racist law, show me where school choice deliberately chooses to exclude kids based only on skin color. If POCs absolutely can not access the program at all, I’ll give the win to you.

Depends on the state, but when vouchers aren’t universal, they usually target the poor. The result is that white kids disproportionately choose to avoid diverse schools, resulting in a greater degree of segregation, not less.
