Seriously --
The Power and the Glory was one of my favorite selections of required summer reading in HS.
Well played. He is great in Dances with Wolves.
And strangely, while I think I "get" The Power and the Glory and I can see why some people really love it, it didn't do too much for me. But The Human Factor, The Quiet American, and the novelization of The Third Man (for that matter, the movie The Third Man) really impressed me.

I've become convinced that having a "comments" section on your webpage is a bad idea. I don't always read them, I would even say I usually don't read them, so maybe I'm working from too small a sample size, but I can't ever remember reading anything of value in the user comments section of any article I've ever read.
Once in a while you'll get a correction, but I don't see why that couldn't be handled with an email to the writer or editor.

Just a tool to increase the hits on your page for your advertisers.

True enough. I should probably re-word my original comment to something along the lines of "I've become convinced that reading the "comments" section on a webpage is a waste of time or worse."
I can see the advantage for the publisher/sales team.

Any off-season football talk, or just the tired old conference realignment/playing ULM junk?
I kind of enjoy pre-season analysis that is actually analysis. Even when I know that much of it will turn out to be wrong once the season actually starts.
Re: Comments That Don't Warrant A Thread
So I'm watching Big Bang Theory the other day and in one scene Raj is eating Twizzlers. After it was over, I told my wife that even though I don't really like Twizzlers, they kind of sounded good. She said that she had thought the same thing. Today I bought some.
Still don't like them.

shift+alt+x on wikipedia is still the greatest thing ever. 4 years of doing THAT every day for an hour or so trumps any formal education.
i need to bump that thread

Yes and its awesome. Only drawback is sometimes you need to do it a few dozen times to get to something with any kind of substance.

IDF soldiers are pretty cool to hangout with. Great stories.
