Forgot to mention what it did to a lot of folks in Germany during WW2. I suppose Anne Frank herself was ratted out by someone submitting to the governing authorities.
Yes, our denomination is leaning the wrong way politically. Romans 13 has been great for selective political causes since our founders did the un-Christian thing over 200 years ago. We should destroy all the monuments that glorify them as former great leaders of/in our nation.

Well, well...not one, but two, of the neighborhood party animals have posted they tested positive for....antibodies for the China virus! (SARS CoVid2). They are "high-fiving" each other via Facebook and saying they are free to party now. Umm, they haven't stopped partying! Hello! They had the virus but were asymptomatic. As are (were) everyone else of the 40+ animals in that circle of loonies.

Dang mess right there. High fives for all...
Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
Read earlier today Dr. Abraham’s successor for Louisiana’s 05 seat in the House was hospitalized for COVID.
Dang, that’s a mess.
Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
As a member of the board of directors for NRMC I have been advised that after January 4th, at any time of my choosing, I can schedule to get the vaccine, and then the follow-up shot afterwards. There are very specific instructions, such as adhering to a very tight timetable. The Natchitoches Medical Center lacks the necessary capacity of deep, cold storage and is working from a joint facility supplying the region. Under regular refrigeration the vaccine has an effective shelf life of just 5 days, and a mere few hours once removed from the cooling storage. So, don't be late for your shot! we are told.
I am conflicted. Every year I hate getting the flu shot...but do, and have never regretted getting it, but have in years when I did not. Two things, 1) have a measure of guilt, of privilege, being afforded this opportunity for sitting on a board, and 2) some apprehension re: side effects not yet revealed!

I authorized my 81 year old Mom's vaccine. Sadly the nursing home says they can't force employees or residents to be vaccinated. The very people who need to be vaccinated to protect themselves and those they serve are not mandated to be vaccinated.
Biden will figure it out.

Numbers getting worse...
This is the last detailed post I made with the numbers.
Now...
February 12, 2021
418,585 cases 9,276 deaths
1,001 in hosp 101 on vents
Hopefully, we'll start to see real improvement in the numbers soon.

The reason being is that the vaccine has not been approved by the FDA. Until that happens, a vaccine can not be mandated to an employee, only offered. Right now the FDA has approved emergency use authorization only.

Perhaps a little reason for optimism?
