Yes, and I think we need to conduct studies on drug use and virus resistance. Jackson Parish would be excellent for that case study.

Well, the hesitancy in the black community is a real issue based on systemic (actually, explicit) racism.
But protecting health care workers who refuse the vaccine at the expense of nursing home residents is not reasonable.

That's the lefts' excuse narrative. The real reason is ignorance, not current or past racism. You white guilt types will always be able to go back to a time when...

This was occurring at least into the 70s. In your lifetime. This isn’t ancient history.

Serious question...there is a real fear among blacks that the vaccine will harm them, but not whites or yellows?
I have not personally experienced that, not locally, anyway. Some of the strongest advocates for getting vaccinated have been black leaders. The mayor, pastors in black churches, and two black doctors at the Natchitoches Hospital have been vocal and visible in encouraging everyone to get vaccinated. Maybe they felt the need to get out publicly because there is some hesitancy in the black community, I don't know because I have not heard one person say that. Besides, their message has been clearly aimed at everyone. Not once have I heard one of them say "we blacks" need to get vaccinated. It's always been "everyone" should.
Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
Lots of Whites are afraid to take it, but not because the are white. Like the blacks who are afraid, they have been indoctrinated and are ignorant regarding the shots.
Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
I haven’t heard anything locally from any authority figure that black people need to be afraid of the vaccine. Haven’t seen anything nationally either. What sources are there that explicitly discourage POC’s from getting the virus.

Many of the churches. Particularly the churches that instruct them on who/how to vote.

From the history of the government lying to them about treatments (Tuskegee experiments).

Yes, don't trust the government. Especially when it's run by the types that are running it now.
"For the people" bill, LOLOLOLOL.

It’s racist and wrong.

Louis
Farihkan told blacks “not to take old whites shot. It was of the devil.”
Re: Covid - 19 - Louisiana Edition
At some point, after the vaccine has been available for a sufficient time, ALL restrictions need to be lifted. No more masks, no more limits in public places, etc...and if someone has refused to get vaccinated, oh well, so sorry, so sad. Take your chances and STFU if you die from the China virus.

I generally agree. An exception would be the spread of a new variant that the new vaccine doesn’t work for. The odds of that happening gets reduced the faster the vaccine is pushed worldwide and the more we limit the spread now.

You generally agree? I must have slipped up somewhere in my reasoning....:icon_roll:
