What scares me about the up coming election is just how many of the 18 year old's will vote. Those are the ones that were Bernie and "Poccahuntous" supporters and are susseptable(sic) to radical ideas and promises that will not be (or can't) be kept. I was opposed to the amenendment that lowered the voting age to 18.

I was opposed to 18 year olds voting as well. But the data out there says they don’t vote in large numbers anyway. I bet many can’t even spell the word ‘vote’.

It’s our mess, not made by President Trump. We are truly all in this together and to hope for a bad outcome borders on criminal. You should be ashamed of having posted such a despicable thought. You can attack him if you want but your best bet is to get an electable candidate.

Bernie officially suspends campaign. Everyone knew the race was over, Biden was gonna get the nomination. But this makes it official. Hey! is Tulsi still in it? She should campaign in her red bikini. I'd vote for her!
Hopefully this is the end of Bernie. I sure hope the old relic doesn't run for POTUS in 2024.

Re: Presidential Election 2020
Chuck Rocha is a POS. I have been laughing at him all along...like his boss, what a joke! So, Bernie wants to accumulate as many delegates as possible, he says, so he can influence the Dem Platform. Hard to imagine it becoming more libtard...and! since Bernie will not have enough delegates to win the nomination why should the party, the DNC, give him the time of day? Oh yeah, that's right, they need his lunatic fringe 23% of the Dem voting base. Look for some concessions be given to Bernie and his commie followers. And as a true American I say...thanks. This makes Trump's job of winning reelection a little easier.
To the DNC I say, go for it! Embrace communisim, baby!

I am on both the RNC and DNC email list. I get messages from both and from operatives like Newt Gingrich on behalf of the RNC, and of Trump, and from kooks like Michael Moore and Oprah, and Whoopie, and others for the DNC...and some politicians too. What's funny is both claim they are being out raised by the other side and couldn't I just donate $25 or more today? What's even funnier are those emails with tight deadlines like "donate before midnight tonight or we are all doomed!" Then the next day I get another message with a midnight deadline.
I just completed a rather lengthy survey for the DNC on topics I think are the most important. For instance, I said "we" need to usurp the winning strategy of border security by planning to build an even taller wall than Trump's! That should confuse 'em at DNC HQ. I have fun answering DNC surveys...

Re: Presidential Election 2020
Louisiana Senate passes extended mail-in voting allowances. Not sure if the bill has passed the House yet.
Senate Repubs defeated the initial bill written by scallywag Dems. The bill that passed, with bipartisan support, has built-in controls over who can request and then receive one of the special mail-in ballots. And it expires in August. Based on what little I know of it, and it might change again if the House still has a say in it, it appears fairly harmless. If it works in practice the way it is written in this bill, it will afford a class of folks, i.e. the elderly, a chance to vote without undue exposure to "the virus." And it will affect mostly local elections, like mayoral races, where the local Dems already have a ground game of cheating in place anyway.
By November, with the POTUS and Congressional races, this mail-in measure should be expired and not a factor. There is no reason, especially by November, to think voting cannot be conducted safely. Hell, Walmart is doing it every day. Maintain spacing in line and controlling the number of folks inside a building at one time. Throw in sanitizers and folks can vote safely.

Re: Presidential Election 2020
Is the DNC and the state of NY trying to stop Biden’s nomination? Love it! What a screwed up party!
Analysis: Did NY Democrats just tank Biden's nomination?
Washington, D.C. Newsroom, Apr 27, 2020 / 02:35 pm MT (CNA).- On Monday, officials in New York announced the cancellation of the state’s Democratic presidential primary, calling the event “essentially a beauty contest,” and a risk to public health in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.
While New York Democrats cited the inevitability of Joe Biden’s nomination for the party's candidacy as justification for calling off the primary, it could actually make the former VP's spot on the ticket anything but a forgone conclusion.
Biden is the prohibitive favorite for the nomination to face Donald Trump in November. But New York could be the first step in an unlikely path to a contested Democratic convention between two Catholic politicians with national profiles.
Although Bernie Sanders is officially out of the race, Biden does not yet have an overall majority of convention delegates. As of April 27, the former vice president has 1,305 of the 1,991 delegates needed to clinch a first-round coronation at the party’s convention. New York offered 320 delegates up for grabs, 274 pledged to the primary winner; a prize that would have brought Biden closer to the nomination.
If New York’s decision triggers other states to cancel their own primaries, it is entirely possible that Biden could arrive at the Democratic convention without a guarantee of the nomination.

So, during a completely unprecedented crisis, the only people allowed to eat meat are those who own a farm, can afford a $400 side of beef, or have deer meat stacked in the freezer? Are we to understand that you care not for the less fortunate or ill prepared? After the crisis is over, should Trump continue to attempt to force labor, then I will agree with you on this one, solitary point.

Having meat provided to you whenever you want it is a right? Can you not live without it (or even less of it) for a month or two? Is it even a necessity? Someone should tell the vegetarians. Lol

Hypothetical......
People who aren’t rolling in it can’t get meat and then they die by the 100’s of thousands of malnutrition. I thought we wanted Trump to think way ahead of any potential crisis and the through his omnipotence be able to stop it from happening. If people could die, you want Trump to stop it, right?

You don’t die or even suffer malnutrition by not eating meat for a couple of months. That is the flaw in your hypothetical.

Re: Presidential Election 2020
Yep, invoked the DPA. I understand both sides of the argument. But I don't think this is the best way to rectify the situation.
I checked out of the current world for the most part the past 24 hrs, burying myself in historical research preparing a presentation I hope to deliver once all this mess is over. So, I have not been paying close attention to the news.
Back to the matter at hand. I don't think it is a good idea to allow the food supply chain to completely tank. Do any of you? No, seriously, is it okay for grocery stores to run out of meat? If you think so, then would it be okay to allow stores to run out of produce: fruits and vegetables? Breads? How about canned goods? So, while I understand his reasoning, I don't like the Federal government ordering private businesses/citizens. Every effort should have been expended to work WITH these companies and their employees to get them back to work.
Of course, all that said. We all know what would happen had Trump not done anything. Grocery stores would run low on food at first, and there would be fights in the aisles. Then rationing, then complete depletion. You think the fear of running out of toilet paper is bad, just wait to see the panic of "NO FOOD!" Then people would be dying in the streets! The lamestream media would show video clips of Venezuela while labeling it some American city. Goosey would be posting, "Orange Man Bad!" he should have seen this coming and invoked the DPA to stop this from happening. Biden would claim "I'd have 20 emergency food processing plants already set up and ready in every state!"
The beat goes on...

The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, which represents 1.3 million food and retail workers, said Tuesday that 20 food-processing and meatpacking union workers in the U.S. have died of the virus. An estimated 6,500 are sick or have been exposed while working near someone who tested positive, the union says.

BTW, here's a quote from ABC that is typical of an MSM misleading "fact" taken from another unreliable source (a union). I'm sure this is where the AP reporter I heard this morning got her misinformation. The story actually said 20 plants were involved, not 20 deaths...
According to a press release Tuesday from the United Foods and Commercial Workers International Union, at least 20 meatpacking and food processing workers have been confirmed dead and "at least 5,000 meatpacking workers and 1,500 food processing workers have been directly impacted by the virus."

20 of the meat packing and food processing workers have died from coronavirus. 13 were from meat packing.
When it says “directly impacted by the virus”, the article defines that to mean
“testing positive for the disease or if it causes to missing work due to self-quarantine while they await test results.”

Re: Presidential Election 2020
Hillary Clinton said the coronavirus "would be a terrible crisis to waste" on the road to universal health care as she endorsed Joe Biden for president Tuesday.
"This is a high stakes time because of the pandemic, but this is also a really high stakes election, and every form of health care should continue to be available, including reproductive health care for every woman in this country," Clinton told Biden, a former vice president and now the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. "And then it needs to be part of a much larger system that eventually, and quickly I hope, gets us to universal health care."
In their own words.. "never let a crisis go to waste".. another reason why I'm voting for Trump in November..

Re: Presidential Election 2020
Biden and/or DNC operatives rifled thru the files at the Univ of Delaware to....do what? To remove incriminating evidence against Biden? What did they look at? What did they take?
Apparently the same thing has been done in the Senate files archives as well. Tara Reade went to thee different Senators to report she had been raped by Senator Joe Biden. Those three Senators had a legal, moral and ethical responsibility to investigate. It is standard protocol in the Senate to investigate such allegations. There is also a paper trail that is supposed to be created documenting the process. It does not mean that the accused Senator is assumed guilty of the charges, but there is supposed to be a file opened. We do know that Ms. Reade was reassigned and moved to a "closet" of an office and generally isolated from her former co-workers in the Senate, and from Senator Biden's office itself.
Joe Biden says he doesn't remember raping Ms. Tara Reade. I can actually believe that. He can't remember where he is half the time or what day it is, how can he be expected to remember one rape from 27 years ago? All those sexual assaults over time tend to blend together.

Re: Presidential Election 2020
On the surface it appears that Biden is not afraid of "the truth" (which is different than "the facts" according to JB). But, that aside for the moment, he has asked all records be opened and investigated to see if any complaints were filed by, or on behalf, of Ms. Reade back in 1993. Looks like he's confident nothing will be found. Good for him, if this is all on the up and up.
Now, the cynic in me has to point out...the Biden camp only came forward and have only now issued this request AFTER Dem operatives have had a chance to rifle thru both the Univ of Delaware and Senate archives. Maybe they looked and found nothing incriminating and that is why they have come forward. Maybe. Or...maybe they found something and removed it. No! I don't know if it is possible to remove records from the Senate archives and not be detected doing it. Are there security cameras? Oh, wait, the cameras in Epstein's cell mysteriously malfunctioned.
I can give Biden, and his handlers, the benefit of the doubt and accept there is no hanky panky. But, that would require a HUGE suspension of critical thought. It's not like this kind of thing doesn't happen all the time...on behalf of Dems.

What is the Dems' strategy for the Presidential nominee?

I don't know if I have done/am doing the better thing by standing pat through this thing so far. Right now there is an interview with President Trump on Fox News.

Other than the about 45% or so of the delirious/demented anti-American voting populace, I hope the rest will step up and sweep our gallant president back into office, and deliver a GOP-controlled Congress as well. Yes, I would prefer a truly conservative Congress but we'll have to settle for a GOP one for now.
And I hope most Americans will want to see a complete destruction of the Deep State, starting with Comey, Mueller, McCabe, etc all going to prison. Of course, the "complete destruction" of the Deep State probably (most likely) won't happen with a GOP-controlled Congress vs. a truly conservative one, since the RINOs have a rooting interest in protecting aspects of the bureaucracy. They have nieces/nephews, children of huge donors, entrenched too. Both parties do. Sadly, that's what the 45% delirious voting populace simply doesn't know nor understand. They think all guvmint is good! Guvmint is sacred! So, no way can there be folks in it who are just self-serving and who don't have your best interests at heart! :icon_roll: Hard to believe there are ignorant people like that, but...well, just look at some of the posters on here. They actually believe the Mueller Report!!! I know, incredible, isn't it.
Vote Trump and vote GOP in 2020! Beats the alternatives...

Re: Presidential Election 2020
Dems cheating again...and again in Los Angeles area. Current election for a Congressionsal seat is going on, ends tomorrow, using mail-in ballots. The Repub is leading by 11,000 votes. The local election officials, all Dems, said obviously mail-in voting isn't working so they are opening a walk-in voting station in one precinct, and only one, the most heavily Dem voter one. If there was ever vote-tampering, and election interference, this is it.
In 2018 the Dems literally stole 8 House seats in and around Los Angeles when, "well looky here!" they found thousands of ballots in the trunks of cars of election officials, and remarkably, they were all votes for the 8 Dem candidates. Imagine that...

And...it's a long way to November, a lot can happen....and probably will.

Question: does “grabbing a woman by the pu$$y” count as “groping”?

Who said that? Whoever said it probably lost whatever they were running for.
On the other hand, if she were a democrat, it would be accepted and celebrated as a lesbian preference.
If it were a minor child or teen being abused, the democrats would give him millions to support their sick causes.

Nah. Trump’s election says a lot about that party too, but they haven’t pretended to be God’s party for a long time.

What about the registered Dems and the Indies who voted for Trump? And some Repubs voted for Krooked Killary. I know John McCain did. So, it's a tad more complicated then just "says a lot about that party."
And, I think close to 65% of those who voted "for" Trump actually were voting against Krooked Killary, and that included a lot of Dems. YES!!! I am just guessing on that percentage. But I think only about 35% of the votes he got, in 2016, was FOR Trump. I was in that 65% in 2016. I will be in the 50+% that will vote FOR Trump in 2020.

Wouldn’t have figured you for a moral relativist...Trump changed a lot on the right I suppose (I also predicted it).

So how do you reconcile from a moral perspective of voting against Trump, and voting for a candidate who's party as you put it left being God's party a long time ago and supports abortion?

I don’t have to. I don’t plan to. But, even if I was, the point that the GOP’s embrace of Trump officially cedes any moral high ground they ever had still stands. No more “character” matters for the Grand Old Party.

Is abortion part of the Republican platform? I must’ve missed that.

You're such a mental heavy weight that you're losing me. Nobody ever said that it was. Though, I could effectively argue that the GOP fails the pro-life tests at a number of levels beyond birth if I hd the inclination...heck, the dear leader's budgets still fund Planned Parenthood. But hey, what's the point? We already know how this goes. If Trump did it, it's A OK!

Let me get this straight...for you, a candidate has to check every box, satisfy 100% of your wish list, or sorry fella! Ya won't get my vote. I have yet to see a candidate EVER who checked all the boxes. Good luck with that.

You beat me to it. I was going to post the same thing.
I guess he’s saying he’s never voted because no president or party in my lifetime could possibly have lived up to Lightweight’s standards.

I never said they have to check every box...they should at least check some.

Fiscal conservative: Nope
Free trade: Nope
Decent person: Nope
Wise: Nope
I could go on, but I know you don't care. You should get honest about why you love him...it's not because he's a conservative. It's because he says nasty things to people you hate...yet PD calls me the hater.

I get your examples you gave, I can respect that. Does this mean you will not vote for POTUS in fall or are you going to vote against Trump or will you vote 3rd party?

Re: Presidential Election 2020
Biden has stated that he will continue his campaign from the basement of his home and virtually throughout the summer. This is probably the best thing that he can do, however it is still not proving to be best. Even with a setup interview he blows itquote:
We've all seen the memes of Sleepy Joe and Creepy Joe sniffing young women. But no one has had the guts to directly confront the former vice president about the stereotypes, until he chatted with Snapchat's Peter Hamby this week.
Hamby, the host of "Good Luck America," presented the former VP with a study recently conducted by the Harvard Kennedy School's Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy regarding the most popular slogans about him. The top three results were "Dementia Joe," "Sleepy Joe," and "Creepy Joe." Not very flattering.
"Basically there’s an entire discourse on the internet right now that’s painting you as creepy and old and out of touch and kinda lame," Hamby noted.
Biden tried to awkwardly laugh it off. And then he made it worse by giving a terrible explanation. Kids these days, he explained, just don't go on the internet!

“Basically there’s an entire discourse on the internet right now that’s painting you as creepy and old and out of touch and kinda lame” ??????
Absolutely brutal interview for Biden who then claims young people don’t get most of their news from the internet.... yikes
