My apologies to any ladies or gentlemen on the board for this analogy, but I had to get my point across.

I prefer the "United States of America" not U.S.A., US, America, or 'Merica. :)
Look, "Lah Tech" has been our shorthand for a few decades. I heard folks call it that since I was a little kid living in El Dorado. As for "L A Tech", that sh** gots to go. I've never heard anyone use that until Tech media adopted LA Tech as the formal abbreviation.

Maybe there are some lazy people in El Dorado - just because some people can't say the entire name doesn't mean you have to give them permission. The L A TECH is better than the "Lah", but both of them suck.

Nope, folks all over know us by that. Lah tech is the acceptable shorthand.

Not acceptable at all! If you go by your criteria, which is because people started calling it that, bring on El A TECH- we are called that all the time now. "Acceptable" is in the eyes of the beholder at this point. Louisiana TECH or TECH are the only "acceptable" ones to me.

Folks have been calling me that big dumb looking guy for decades, but I'd rather not brand myself that way!

Summary: Lah Tech or El A Tech seems to be acceptable to the Text/Twitter generation...
Louisiana Tech or Tech (if/when in Louisiana) is preferred by all of us "Rotary Dialers"... :D

I am a millennial, but count me in the latter group. I am sure there are other lifelong fans who are offspring of lifelong fans who feel that anything other than Louisiana Tech/Tech is blasphemy.

I heard that 20 years ago and it was an old joke then.
But then HD finally noticed the Bulldog hand sign only 20 years after everyone else.g
At this rate, HD will start trading in his cassette tapes for compact discs any day now.

What can I say 967, I'm a cave man stuck in a high tech world. Shame on me for not keeping up with the "important stuff"....like the Bulldog hand sign. But as I recall, at least 50% of this board had not heard of that Bulldog sign either AT THAT TIME.
Working for Cisco, I probably see more bleeding edge high tech crap in a week than most people will see in a year. That said, just put me on a Harley, give me a 6-pack and send me down the highway chasing the sun.....I'm good.
