Easy, just make a bacon-weave cocktail glass.
Re: Whiskey and Scotch drinkers step inside
Wow! Two of the most awesome things in life in one glass. I wonder if butter can be incorporated too to make it a triple win.:D

I was introduced to Woodford by a hotel bar tender roughly two years ago. He put it on the rocks with a splash of water. I liked it, haven't had it since. I need to try itjust on the rocks.

FWIW, scotch is a good camp drink because folks don't tend to "forget to bring their scotch" like they do beer and whiskey. Not a lot of scotch bummers out there. Sort of like copenhagen being a safe from bummers chew.:)
Indeed, drinking it now.

Woodford Reserve is one of the best. I think I googled best bourbons once and it came out on top. The first bottle I bought, I ended up drinking most of it in one sitting with my neighbor who drinks it exclusively now.
Re: Whiskey and Scotch drinkers step inside
I was in Colorado this past week and experienced a great bourban being made in Breckenridge:

It was damn good and I imported a few bottles back to Texas for further experimentation. Check it our when you getthe chance!

I'm sort of new to bourbon, but WR is one of my favorites. I like Knob Creek too, but both are sort of expensive for my budget. For the money, it's tough to beat Buffalo Trace. It's the cheapest that I've enjoyed "neat".
Someday, when money flows a little more, I'd like to try all the Knob Creek small batches (Bookers, Bakers, and Basil Haydens).

Technically, Knob Creek IS a small batch made by Beam, Inc, as are Bookers, Bakers and Basil. I like them all, but Bookers is my favorite - it is the only one that is barrel proof.
For the cheap stuff, it is tough to beat Evan Williams in price:taste.

WR is yet another stop along the Bourbon Trail (most easily accessed from the Bluegrass Parkway). Makers Mark, Wild Turkey and Four Roses are some of the others, and they all have tours of some kind or another - and a nice shop as well to buy good stuff.

Re: Whiskey and Scotch drinkers step inside
Enjoying another bacon whiskey old fashioned (or two) tonight. Sooooooo tasty.
Re: Whiskey and Scotch drinkers step inside
Taking recommendations for my next bottle. I want to enjoy it neat or with a splash of water. I'd like it to be a bourbon south of $40. It takes me a while to get through a bottle. I was thInling about Bulleit or Makers 46. My last bottle was Knob Creek. It was good, but I like Woodford better. For the price, I like Buffalo Trace better than both.

Thanks for the help fellas!
I ended up with Wild Turkey 101 after reading a rave review on sourmashmanifesto.com. It's complex and has great structure but let me tell you, it's SPICY and kicks you right in the mouth. Good stuff. I think I may be too much of a newb to drink this one neat. It'll stand up in a mix for sure.

Are we talking about women or whiskey?
Re: Whiskey and Scotch drinkers step inside
Had never tasted an Irish whiskey until this past Friday evening. Was very surprised and impressed with Jameson. What are some other brands that have found favor with our brethern.
