CUSA wants nothing to do with Tech? That remains to be seen. In the mean time, all I have heard from other CUSA members fans is that CUSA NEEDS Tech and that Tech would be great.
Re: Denver Post reporting BYU likely to stay in MWC
Dude you dropped the ball handing out your weak cred on this board after your attempts at flaming. You made Memphis proud.
Re: Denver Post reporting BYU likely to stay in MWC
The number of flamers we get is and indication of how close we are to our goal. Why else would they be coming here to sling their $^!+. What they don't realize is that they don't make a bit of difference in the process. Take all this as an indication of good things to come and that there will be some POed flamers in the near future.

Who sounds like the Sun Belt team?
Here's C-USA's list right now:
1. Temple
2. MTSU
3. Western Ky.
4. UNT
5. Tech
I think Tech's a shoo-in

Somebody with a screen name like "gomemphistigers" sounds like a cheerleader to me.
Here's a pic of the cheerleaders at Southwest Tennessee last year.
I peg gomemphistigers as the one in the middle of the 2nd row ??

I bet Memphis does look like Harvard from your perspective! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southwe...munity_College. Good luck kid.
The Memphis talk did get me interested in the last time we played them (in a real sport).

Who gives a flying f*** what you think! Get lost. Your post won't change anybody's mind on this board and surely won't influence anybody who has a vote in any conference.

If you could put some actual numbers with this to back it up, I mightn't taken pity on you for expressing your angst over here for not having a chance at the CUSA.

Re: Denver Post reporting BYU likely to stay in MWC
Last time around, it was a somewhat close call for me whether C*USA should take LaTech or UNT (Texas solidarity), though I ultimately chose Tech. This time, though, it isn't even close. UNT was actually good last time around and right now they can't compete in the country's worst I-A conference. Louisiana Tech has been hit-and-miss, but at least they are competing in a conference equal to or better than C*USA. Further, right now it's *really important* that the new team be able to contribute. Last time around, C*USA's future looked brighter than it does this time around. Memphis and UAB were competitive, Marshall looked like an instant contributor, and Southern Miss was really strong. Southern Miss has been sliding (though I am partial to USM and hope that they get back to where they were), Marshall has proven to be mediocre, and Memphis and UAB fell off a cliff (though UAB is improving). Maybe UNT will rebound, but C*USA simply can't afford to bring in a team with a pretty stadium but a poor team playing on it. I also think that SMU is going to be a problem for them. UNT fell out of contemplation pretty early on last time around rumored to be because of SMU. Maybe they've kissed and made up, but I don't think their playing one another proves it.

Neither here nor there, but at Coogfans, we're hearing some pretty distressing things about that. One of our general informers says that C*USA is playing hardball and demanding in excess of $10m in damages. We have no idea why they would or on what basis they came to that determination (if we are worth that much, we are *seriously* being shafted with out current payouts), but the guy saying it is in a position to know such things. Whether they'll be able to get it is a different matter. Sounds like we'll end up in court if the invite comes. I'm not optimistic about our chances at the moment, though.

Every now and then you should consider building a little credibility for yourself. Posts like this one aren't going to get you there.
Literally, every single thing you just wrote is incorrect.

Does that mean that you are not optimistic about your chances of an invitation, or your chances of winning in court?
