But, but, but ... development pays for itself!
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
St. Francis is rumored to be building a major new development (i.e. something big enough to meaningfully compete with Green Clinic) on or just off Farmerville highway.

Not a rumor. And residents of Lincoln Parish should want them to stay out. NLMC is also about to expand (sort of) on the north side. The two have been fighting over space for a year.

Why?

because they will take huge amounts of $ out of Lincoln Parish to Monroe. They locked up the first piece of the puzzle by recently employing a very popular local primary care physician who now will refer patients to SFMC specialists only. In my opinion, that physician should have his loyalty to this community questioned, as he sold out on Ruston to get guaranteed $. It is something that I think will backfire on him eventually.
They plan to rotate specialists here in town. This is poaching $ and nothing more. They are desperate because they are bleeding reserves badly, to the tune of between $2-$4million in losses per month.

Don't expect them to build a huge green clinic type building...though they did talk a big game mentioning the idea of building a "Ruston CHC". They and NLMC have been fighting over existing space at Northpointe behind Portico for a year. I believe now they are looking at Paul Hogan's new space just past Malone's development. It will be a small clinic which multiple specialists share by rotating though. They won't place any full time specialists here. Will house that local doc I mentioned earlier and a pediatrician.
Some of those physicians people will recognize as having been in Ruston in previous years. They aren't bringing anything new...just variety and are deluting what is already here.
Update: they actually did purchase the alley across from Paul Hogan's Ruston Commons building and will build there.

And, Vantage/Affinity not interested in Lincoln Parish? That surprises me.

They are focused on cashing in very soon. Meaning selling. And with what has happened in the past with green clinic docs trying to leave the group, there hasn't been much opportunity. Their model is to buy, not to plant docs in a new market.
Re: Peanut Buckets Coming to DAWGTOWN
Just out of curiosity, how many (if any) outpatient surgery centers are there in Ruston?

It continues to be delayed. Haven't heard anything other than that yet. I will casually inquire and get an update.

I believe the majority of the complaints were during morning traffic...we open at 10 a.m. Dq should not hinder morning traffic. We may hinder the traffic during lunch and afternoon but not the morning. As we all know the traffic was a cluster there before DQ and it will remain that way as long as the design of the highway remains the same. I know 967...!!!! I know more lanes don't help!!!! Traffic is even worse at the intersection of Well Rd and Cypress when going West on Cypress.

I agree, it has always been bad, but it did back up much more going west bound due to people using the east bound turning lane as a west bound turning lane.
I actually rear ended one of our fellow BBBrs one time headed west bound in front of Taco Bell. :o
I am very happy for your success at that location. Nice to know it is a fellow Dawg who spends advertising money with Tech.
