Traffic is even worse at the intersection of Well Rd and Cypress when going West on Cypress.
We finally got to dine at DQ on Sunday evening. Drive-thru was backed up around the building to the entrance. Just about every table was taken. The line was 10-deep. The food (and ice cream) was delicious as advertised.
From the public response I've never seen two restaurants (DQ and Monroe's Olive Garden) be so overwhelmed in their opening months. And it hasn't stopped! Continued good luck!

Just to clarify ...
I don't mean for anything I've said in this thread to be construed as lack of support for your establishment. I wish yall only success. My criticism is of poor planning, not of Dairy Queen.

I have not braved the wait yet, but have gotten mixed reviews on Olive Garden. No way they can screw up the soup and salad lunch deal is there?

The inside waiting area at Olive Garden was enlarged, so . . . if they're standing outside that means there are 40-50 people inside waiting . . . .
Oh, and my latest technique on popular restaurants is to use their first-come, first-served bar seating areas. If there are 1-4 in a party this can cut down on a lot of waiting . . . plus catch Sports Center.

Yes, the fam has been doing that at El Chico's for years. Their big tables will seat at least 10 and it is very inexpensive for a large family's Sunday lunch.
Also do the bar seating at Chilis, Applebys, and have done it at Outback on the rare occasion we go there.

Lol @ Olive Garden... one step above TV dinners. Admittedly, some of their soups are good, but most of their food goes from freezer to microwave to plate to table.
I'm no master chef, but I can hold my own in the kitchen. If I want Italian, i'll throw some sauce on some noodles at home and save $40 and the hassle.

Yeah, I'm not one who craves Italian anyway. I like Genusa's, but it is never my first choice. It is a major points scoring location with the wife. Olive Garden scores big points with the family...mostly because of the bread sticks and salad I think.;)

Same here on the Italian. On the off chance I choose to eat it, I either cook it at home or go to Genusa's/Geno's. Helps that I live less than a mile from both of those places.
I totally get why families go to Olive Garden though. The salad and breadsticks really are crowd pleasers, kind of like the garlic cheddar biscuits at Red Lobster. I bet accomodating big parties are a lot of why Olive Garden's wait times are so long too. Good problem to have from a business standpoint.

My new Italian in Monroe is Freddie Cascio's near River Oaks School.

I actually rear ended one of our fellow BBBrs one time headed west bound in front of Taco Bell. :o
I am very happy for your success at that location. Nice to know it is a fellow Dawg who spends advertising money with Tech.
I think I know that guy! :D

It's going to be a Texas Roadhouse.

I always forget about that place being out there. I try to avoid the Fink's Hideaway area as much as I can. It's a mess out there these days.
