Of course not. How I pay for health care should be left entirely between my health care provider and me.
As for effectively taxing the distribution of narcotics, I have no opinion
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
I'd ask that question of anyone wanting a policy that on its surfaces causes the nation to move to universal healthcare.
Remember, we have a lot of stupid people. And they can vote.
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
I'm missing something. What policy did I want that on the surface would cause the nation to move to universal healthcare?

All drugs being legal.
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
I talked with a guy the other day that was 100% against government subsidies of any kind (I'm not a huge fan either). He stated he hated subsidies because it was the governments way of picking winners or losers. In casual conversation I asked him about legalization of most drugs. He was adamantly opposed to that. Wouldn't that kind of be like the government picking winners and losers?
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
Libertarians believe all drugs should be legalized, but "don't have an opinion" on the government setting up the system.
Like I said, a very inconsistent set of beliefs.

You keep saying it, but never point out an inconsistency.
Freedom doesn't have to be set up. To the contrary, freedom just requires the government to get out of the way.
The question was whether I had an idea of how to tax it. I have no opinion on that. My experience is the government always figures out how to tax everything.

Subsidies are a bad idea. It never works. In the short term subsidies sometimes help a small group of producers, but in both the short and long term, it hurts the consumer in the form of both higher taxes and in higher prices.
i am consistently against government subsidies of any kind for any length of time.

...and they will also figure out how to regulate it. You are okay with that too right?
THAT is the inconsistency. You want freedom, but you are in favor of things that place more burden on those receiving the freedom.

Taxation and regulation is more burdensome than prison?

Stay on point here. You are against more government regulation unless it means regulating illegal drugs. How does that work?

Many legal substances and behaviors cause death, destruction, and ruined lives.

Me stay on point? I don't even know what your intended point is. You are making no sense whatsoever.
I want to legalize drugs. The government decides to tax transactions, not me. I just bought some groceries and they taxed me. I didn't vote for that tax.
I really have no idea what you are getting at. I'm not advocating regulation of drugs. I'm advocating the government getting out of it. Period. It is none of the government's business what I put into my body. I should be able to take Draino if I choose to. No FDA regs. No criminal laws. Nothing. Legalized it and get out of my life. How hard is that to understand?
I say again, I have no opinion on how to tax it.

That isn't for you to decide for another human. You are for criminalizing nonviolent, victimless behavior to be enforced at gunpoint.
I absolutely know that sitcoms make people dumber. It is not good for them. I don't watch them, and I think it should be a crime for you to watch them as well. They obviously are making you dumber.
