I want to legalize drugs. The government decides to tax transactions, not me. I just bought some groceries and they taxed me. I didn't vote for that tax.
I really have no idea what you are getting at. I'm not advocating regulation of drugs. I'm advocating the government getting out of it. Period. It is none of the government's business what I put into my body. I should be able to take Draino if I choose to. No FDA regs. No criminal laws. Nothing. Legalized it and get out of my life. How hard is that to understand?
I say again, I have no opinion on how to tax it.
You are ignoring the point that you can't defend. I have said nothing about taxes. I said "regulation". You, in the name of freedom to toke, want to give the government you also say you want to limit, even more power.
No consistency and ridiculous to think otherwise.

I guess I'm not smart enough to understand your point. Exactly what power do I want to give them?

You know that your ridiculous rant requires more government, but when challenged with the "what ifs" you over simplify things to ignore the results of what you claim to want.

P.S. Somebody called JuBru posted this:

I thought you were referring to my response to no opinion on taxes. I really haven't a clue what you are talking about it that wasn't it. I certainly didn't say anything about regulation of drugs. I guess I need to go to a site with talking points against the legalization of drugs to see if they can explain it more clearly tha you can.

Rant? You are a silly willy. It would take more than this to get me worked up. I debate for fun, and pretty much only debate friends. I'm not ranting. Emphatic, yes. Rant. Not on your life sweet pea.
I guess you mean that there would be regulation of some sort. While I don't doubt our government can't help itself, I'm certainly not advocating regulations. I would abolish all regulations created by the executive if I had my way. But, even if the government can't help itself, surely you would admit that civil regulations are less onerous than criminal laws.
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
Yeah, I'm with Sooner on this. Not just because he wants to vote third party and free the weed.
But also because I cant really tell what maddawg is getting at.

Another "free thinker" who wants less government (in every other way) with more government control (no illegal drugs with the government regulating all sales).
Y'all are the ones who don't know what you want.
Re: 2016 Presidential Campaign
Look how insane Bernie is. Plug in your info and see what your taxes would be under Communism.

Are you talking about me? Because I don't share (many of) Sooner's reservations about an activist govt.
But if a thing goes from being completely illegal, to being legal but regulated, that's more freedom than there was before. Not less.
Again, I'm not tracking with you. What are you getting at?

Talk about inconsistent. Abortion "causes death destruction and ruined lives" for the most innocent in our society and you are all for that.

Who says that legalization "requires" more government?
As a practical matter, knowing how the government generally behaves, it may be likely but it isn't necessary.

A flat tax will not allow us to meet even our most basic obligations.

It's naive to think it wouldn't. The ONLY way it gets legalized is if it can be taxed and controlled. Tax enforcement, healthcare, law enforcement (for starters) spending all go up.
